Posted a letter on the 25th August to Sunderland. Today they claim to not have received it until the 28th. Claim that they wrote on the 28th as the DD had been rejected although the money comes out my account on the 30th and pointed me to their website to show me the 60 day notice.
These jokers are still at it Martin.0 -

Oh dear...what an unfortunate and immature comment...but I'm sure it will bring much happiness to the many millions of England fans around the world...

I tried to cancel my Setanta subscription this morning at the email address given in the article request@setanta.com but it keeps coming back undeliverable because the address is unknown. Is anyone else having this problem?0

Apologies guys, the wrong email address was in the initial post. It should be
requests@setanta.com
This has now been updated.0 -
please note that the link quoted in the first thread is still incorrect. although the address quoted is right, the email address behind the hyperlink is still wrong so please check what email address shows up in your To: box before sending.
To confirm, the address is requests@setanta.com
My 2nd email has been sent and hasn't bounced back so all good. I think they are going to be swamped with requests and quite rightly. Rubbish service and rubbish programming.0 -
I have been trying to sort out problems with Setanta since Jul/Aug. I wrote cancelling & cancelled my direct debit because the thomson box I had was not working properly & I was advised to return it for a replacement. I went to Argos who no longer had that model & had to pay another £20 for the model they had, but this came with free setanta & topup tv. I tried to find out initially how to access this & was told I'd need to cancel (this was when I wrote) what I had then reregister. I have been bombarded with calls some asking about giving me 3 mths free some saying they have no payment details. Last week I made 4 calls to them all over 15 mins long, the longest 40 before the person cut me off. I was still to receive the month I had paid for up front & another month I was due when they took 3 payments out in 6 weeks. My service was put on but they are still looking for money I don't owe them & have now said I cannot get another "offer/deal" despite it being included in the price of the box for 6 months. I resent the letter they claim not to have received and asked that they contact me in writing but again today they phoned. The stress of this is too much so I told my partner to say I was not avail to take the call. Why can't I simplt get what I've paid for? I don't feel that's asking too much but when I asked them they hung up0
