not that interesting? what about Saturdays games on Setanta? no one complained then. If Croatia were winners there would be nothing said on this, why Brown is commenting on this is a waste of his time, frankly you either buy setanta to watch sport (live golf and boxing also) or you find someone or some place who has it?

Where on tv could I watch the Khan boxing highlights? (I mind the days big boxing events were on itv) If I didnt have sky sports where could i watch Murray final highlights? the list will keep growing if you want it too

there are other organisations in operation that only accept written communication and I have had to deal with them. We sometimes expect too much at times, however would be highly frustrated if I wanted to cancel something and had to even give 1 day notice in all truth.
  • Setanta has taken on board the critism of its cancellation policy and has now amended it to 30 days (instead of 60) which can be given via email, as well as post.

and surprise surprise !!! I got a call from setanta at 7.00 pm september 11 2008 , stating that I had to give 60 days notice for cancellation. I had already cancelled my Direct debit 45 days back!

setanta tried to get me back for £4.50 month for 6 months.

Half of what I pay for sky sports, and has england games. But because of my bad experience of cancelling I said no.
  • This is excellent news Natashsa! :-)
Now that I've fired off all my letters though to England, Scotland & Ireland giving 60 days' notice, I wonder if they'll reduce it to 30 or tell me it's tough because I cancelled during their 60-day notice period (...be just my luck!!)
    Cheers.

  • they rang me last night, no doubt chasing money, so i asked them to hang on for a sec then rested the phone handset on the floor for 30mins. Dont know how long it took for them to get the message and hangup but i hope they now know how we feel when we ring them.
  • To anyone's knowledge has Setanta actually sued or set bailiffs on to a customer for alleged breaches of contract? Or is it all bluster to panic you into handing over more money?
  • I sent a letter to the county down address 10 days ago giving my 60 day notice to coincide with the end of the golf and baseball seasons. Phoned on Friday to be told they had the letter, my cancellation was on the 29th October and final payment 7th October. No problem so far.
