LOL wasn't mulled wine was it???

I'm guessing there would be cinnamon, nutmeg perhaps and mixed spices, as they are traditionally christmassy??

That sounds like a reasonnable assumption....

Maybe port would be the magic ingredient as it is what you leave for poor old Santa...
    Unless it was brandy.

Savvy... from a previous thread, I thought your fridays-sundays were not occupied fudging !!!

    Hi All,

Does anyone know what adding alcohol to fudge would do to it?

Also, at what stage would you add it???

    Thanks,
    Al.

Fudge was rather runny was going to make it a sauce for icecream but friend told me to try boiling it up again.Realized problem was I'd used fahrenheit rather than celisius before so hadn't reached high enough temperature.Came out perfect second time around!Y UM YUM!

I did put some rum in the rum& raisin one.

Went in while the mix was in the pan (so most of the alcohol evaporated).
Did nothing apart from a nice taste . Use a strongly flavoured alcohol for that!!!

    Hi catford :)

I've just merged your question into a long running thread about fudge. Posts are listed in date order so you'll need to read from the beginning.

    HTH :)
