Cahoot log in problem....

So you can just imagine it. Jose the digger man shoves the bucket down the hole, Bang goes the main supply line to the computer centre.
Followed by a whole set of untested UPS's (Uninterruptable Power Supplies) attached to the servers going Phut! followed by the sound of a few very wounded servers collapsing.
What's going on? says the Ops guys. We just lost all power. Switch over to backup power.
We'll put up a message on the web saying we're having a bit of an upgrade, don't worry we'll soon have these babies up and running again.
Switch them on, boot them up and several have stopped working. Oh Sh*t.
What do we do now?
I know, we'll go to the DR site.
But that isn't fully up and running since we moved it to Spain. Oh Sh*t
Where are the backups from yesterday?
They're miles away we'll have to courier them in and replace some of these servers.
How long will that take. A day. OK we'll do it.
How long to get things up and running again. A day. OK.
What are we going to tell people?
Just keep the system upgrade message on the screen. If we tell them the truth they might think we're incompetent.
If anybody is wincing at Cahoot, I don't have inside info, this is just a guess.0 -
That sounds very true !0

I think from your perspective there may well be, perhaps you should turn on the consideration and understanding button. and your contributions may come flooding back accompanied with cherubs and rose petals.0 -
I've just successfully got through the log in page, but the sub frames aren't all available to see yet. They're getting there, but it's woefully flaky. Second time round it crashes.0

They'll be doing more than wince if the toe of my boot connects with their backsides .....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

First it was an upgrade to improve service, now it's a power failure. Choose what you want to believe ... I was recently told by Cahoot that the Data Protection Act allows banks 30 days to close an account (I had 2) ... more likely the Banking Code. You may choose to believe what this bank tells you ... I do not. What is unquestionable is that they have not managed their customers by providing timely, acurate information ... and that's really easy if you're bothered. I intend to close my account when the dust has settled. I've done it before and believe me it's really hastle free. Using the Banking Saving section of this site, First Direct is my best option and it pays a £100 bonus to open an account.
Cahoot will rely on you being lazy ... don't let then get away with it ... move your account.0 -
why don't we agree to log on in an orderly fashion, if we give each other 10 minute slots we should be all done by morning, I have to say that I, in the spirit of cooperation, am prepared to wait untill 12:10 which is way past my bedtime.
are we agreed then that everybody will be logged off in my unilatterally allocated timeslot.......?
thanks in advance.0 -

Couple of questions:
Incidentally my original post seems to have disappeared. Is there a systems problem?
What's a "troll"?
Pal, you are coming across as a 100% pr at. Not quite sure why you have joined MSE to have a pop at people who are concerned about their finances. I think you are on 4 posts - all of which are on this topic despite the fact that you have added nothing of interest and have not even said if you have a Cahoot account.
That, in my book, makes you a very sad and lonely TROLL. It means that you spend time winding people up for absolutely no gain other than, perhaps, providing approximately 15 seconds "entertainment" in your life.0 -

I was looking at First Direct.
There is a lot of information on the site, but no where (that I could find) does it mention what the credit interest rate is on the account....
Anyone any ideas ?0
