Cahoot log in problem....

No change in the situation for me/us.
I can still log in to my account.
My wife's account is still stuck at the "a problem has occurred" barrier after entering the security details.
No response as yet from Cahoot to last night's e-mail. Not impressive at all.0 -
Yes, working again for me too. I popped into town at lunchtime and opened a Norwich & Peterborough current account - I'll miss the few pounds a month interest I get on my Cahoot account but at least I'll get free debit card transactions overseas which will get close to making up for it (the only other bank that offered this was Santand...)
It's a real shame, Cahoot used to be brilliant, their webcard was a great idea and the website (when it works) is the easiest internet bank there is. But something is seriously wrong - Santander, with it's headquarters in Spain, doesn't seem to be at all bothered about the fate of it's little UK internet bank customers.0 -
Working for me again too. I saw forevergrey's post yesterday, and at that point it still wasn't working. Tried again at 3:30pm, just before I was going to phone, and it worked. All of my payees had suddenly re-appeared too.
My other account was with the A&L, so I now effectively have two Santander accounts without ever actually wanting to bank with them.Applied for First Direct just now as it's only a matter of time before the other accounts go pear-shaped again.

First reply from CS yesterday afternoon"Unfortunately I am unable to access your account to look into this problem as I don't have enough details. Please could you provide us with your post code or date of birth so that we are able to investigate this further.". Sigh. Sent info immediately.
Second reply this morning - "I am sorry to hear that you have had difficulty arranging a withdrawal from your account via your ‘payments address book'.... we have had some systems problems.... We have been advised by our technical teams that the issue has now been resolved.". Bigger sigh. I never said anything about having difficulty arranging a withdrawal. I can't get as far as that, can't even log in without "a problem has occurred". Sent them another e-mail begging them to investigate properly, as the problem has certainly not been resolved.
Third reply this afternoon - "To overcome the problem please ensure that each time you log on to cahoot you are doing so by fully typing the address in the address bar and not accessing the account via a favourites link or search engine. As the fault is with one of our many browsers if you faced with that message you can refresh the web page by either selecting the refresh icon or by pressing the F5 key, it may take a couple of attempts but you will be diverted to another fully working server.". Everlasting sigh. What a load of tosh! Enter the address manually, then if it still doesn't work try refreshing a few times. Aaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhh.
Problem first surfaced Tuesday afternoon. Still stuck.0
