    Here we go again:

    service is suspended

We are currently updating our systems. This takes approximately 5 minutes. Please wait until the cahoot service is resumed. Thanks for your patience.

The problems described by users above, regarding General System Error, session time-out, etc continue into 2011 with Cahoot apparently unable to resolve the issue.

Instead the Cahoot website advises how customers might set their cookies on Internet Explorer 4 :(

Better still they ask users to alter settings in Netscape Navigator :rotfl:

    My money is moving.
  • Cahoot website still down, been like this since I was trying to login around midday on Friday 28.01.11.

Terrible level of service since Santander purchased Cahoot, consistent login issues, maintenance updates that give no benefits or fixes to previous issues since 2008 and regular outages during 2010 (April, Aug,Oct,Dec)

AVOID THIS BANK PEOPLE AND MOVE YOUR MONEY !!!

Time to move before things really go tits up!!

I've been a customer of Cahoot for years and I had the actual log-in page bookmarked in my browser.

A few months ago I had persistent problems logging in using the bookmarked URL. On a whim I went to the home page instead (www DOT cahoot DOT co DOT uk) and clicked the log-in button. No problems.

It's possible that the URL for the log-in page has changed and that re-direction to the correct page is unreliable. Try logging in via the home page and see if that makes a difference.

I've just logged in without problems but have had issues before going via bookmarks.

Now I generally use Egg Money Manager to log in which stores all my account details and launches Cahoot in a new window. So far I've not had login problems with that method.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

When you get the service is suspended message, refresh the page. I find this works every time.

  • Hmm.. I have so far tried both IE 8 and Chrome to access the website by typing in the full .co.uk address and I still get the same error.

Trying F5 and Control F5 don't make a difference in either browser I still get this message...

I think the correct address is .com

I just type 'cahoot' in the address bar and press Ctrl and Enter. :)

    ...and as scgf says -
"When you get the service is suspended message, refresh the page. I find this works every time."

    Well - almost every time!

Getting exactly the same message today. I can log in and view my balance and statement, but I can't carry out any transactions. I was getting a slightly different error message the other day when trying to add a new payee, but eventually it worked. If I try to do anything today, the above error message pops up.

I have payments to make from my cahoot account, anyone have any idea when it might actually start working? I suppose that's like trying to predict when aliens might land on Earth though. Not happy.
