  • I haven't posted on here much before, but thanks to this thread got a better number than the naff 0844 one, so thank you whoever posted that! ( I am not a spammer, I promise)

    Right, I haven't been able to log into the system for ages, it borked my password and then asked for information that it wouldn't recognise. Information I have been using for years. I called them up and they told me I must have forgotten my password!!! :mad:

    Then they looked at my username. When I set up the account I used special characters. Apparently the new system they have shifted over to does not recognize special characters only letters and numbers. They also sent out emails to let those with usernames like this know they needed to change... Guess what? I have not had one of these golden emails either :(

    Just thought I would post this here incase it helped anyone else. Call the 01908 number and you will speak to a human, even if they are a bit slow to help... and put you on hold a dozen times.

    I'm waiting for a call back to let me know they have changed my username and how I can proceed to put in a new password. I'm not impressed!

    fwiw, they reckon the "back in 5 minute problem" is only on a limited number of servers and if you refresh enough, you will eventually hit a good server:
    Our technical teams have advised that all customers will be able to access the webpage either by refreshing the internet page they are using our pressing the ‘F5' key. This will allow you to access the website via one of our alternative servers.
  • Hi Is anyone else having problems? Put in user name and first question answer then get "General Error on Page" message and can go no further!!

  • Been trying to log in all morning. sometimes getting General System Error message other times Service Suspended message. Just like the terrible problems over first weekend in Sept. cahoot are in denial. It's about time they sacked the IT department.

    Strangely my login was fine this morning - at much the same time your message was posted so it does look like a difference between which server you hit at the time
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    Possibly so; it worked half an hour later. But we never encountered this problem before Santander got involved.

    If you think cahoot is bad (and it is) you should try Alliance and Leicester.

    Santander have comprehensively f****d up every bank they've taken over, and their banks continue to plummet new depths of uselessness.
  • Problems logging in this morning, AGAIN, getting a one-minute response time to load the password page, and same again to get to the account page. My laptop is working fine for all other sites, so clearly cahoot has been loading another one of their 'upgrades'. 'Phoned the helpdesk, to get the response, 'Cannot access your account owing to technical difficulties.'

    Finally got into my account to pay my credit card bill. Money was deducted from my current account, but not credited to my credit card account. This must be part of the new 'enhanced functionality'. I expect it's been transferred to some banker's bonus account.

    What a shower!
