Content from one of the pages you can find on Google News:

Customers will be sent an email telling them how they can reclaim any money they have lost or penalties they have incurred as a result of the problems.

Keep your evidence to make a claim.

  • been with these for years but this is no joke - an outfit that cannot maintain a single information page on there domain cannot be trusted to run a bank - try pinging the domain - it times out - no worthwhile outfit could possibly allow that to happen - I could do better with a laptop in my broom cupboard - now who am going to bank with?
  • I've managed to withdraw cash from my cahoot account today, but I can't get a balance. Still not as bad as the error code I got online recently which on investigation meant I had died!

    Cahoot
Cahoot is part of the Santander Group one of the world's most successful and well-capitalised banks with nearly 70 million customers and remains a safe place for your money.

    Kaupthing Edge
All your savings are safe and are now with ING Direct, the world's leading direct savings bank and part of the ING Group which is one of the world's largest banks with assets in excess of £1 trillion and 85 million customers.

    85 + 70 = 150M
  • leave it about 10 minutes so I can get my banking done (not that I'm selfish you understand)

The total number of customer is probably a lot lower than 150 million. Both myself and my girlfriend have an account with both cahoot and kaupthing. I have an existing account with ING as well!
