    thanks for the tip.

My flesh crawls just thinking about them..my sister told me that if you find a spider, there's normally another one not far away..erk!

The one sitting on the wall last night was HUGE...I nearly had a heart attack!

It's so typical, I haven't seen any spiders this year so far, and OH goes away for a few days and wham..there's 2 massive ones!

Opening and closing curtains freaks me out too in case one falls from them

My colleague has a spider vacuum which sucks up the spider so you can throw it outside. It's quite funny to watch her with her light sabre!
Our cats tend to eat them indoors but in the summer, lots of little ones hide inside the pegs that DH keeps leaving on the washing line! urgh, sends shivers down my spine thinking about them.
  • well I seem spider-free currently but as soon as September comes around, I'm going on the hunt for conkers! I'll be fighting those 8 year olds off!!

My mum had one on her bed last night! She had just got into bed and it crawled across infront of her! Heard a yelp from downstairs and had to run upstairs and rescue her! Was only a small one but was horrible!

I was hoping that my cat would step in and do something, but all she did was sit right next to it and meow at me for food..I was pertrified ishe was going to make it run...AUUUUGH!

Don't know about any of you, but if there's a spider at large it has to be removed...otherwise I won't go into that room..I've been known to pull rooms apart looking for the b*ggers!

Apparently we all swallow about 8 spiders a year whilst sleeping

Not me because I sleep with my trap shut!! :rotfl:

I too hate them in the house. I stomp on them and have no qualms about doing it.
3 nights ago there was a massive one on the bedroom ceiling above my place in the bed. Hubby went to get it in some tissue but it was a jumper!! I freaked and got under the duvet

Then last night I go to bed after hubby and there are 2 on the ceiling. I had to climb on the bed with a ruler and whack them off the ceiling :D

We get a lot of those spiders with a very small body but very long legs.....are they harvest spiders?

This is interesting and has kind of reassured me. I moved into this house at the end of October and hardly saw any spiders for months. I kidded myself that I'd found a spider free zone!! Anyway, this past two to three weeks I've been seeing them on average every other day and its' been really freaking me out. Some small, I can cope with but have had 3 MASSIVE ones. Shudder.
I was wondering why I was suddenly seeing them a lot, so sounds like it's just spider season, April May. Hopefully they'll all go away soon..

I was chatting to my Mum on the phone last night and apparently she'd read somewhere that there are higher than normal numbers of spiders about this year.

Not good news for us spider-haters!!
