I switched (for the clubcard points) to powergen in sept 04 I have since recieved 5 final bills from my previous supplier..one of which arrived before xmas.If it wasn't for the points I'd switch again..They have promised me faithfully it's all sorted now :rolleyes:0

energywatch have been involved and powergen assured me that my bill would be correct. Ho ho the bill is incorrect again. I have cancelled my direct debit at my bank and here we go again. As soon as I get the correct bill and have paid for it I will be saying bye bye powergen0

I've been with powergen for 4 years and even though my meters are read I keep getting estimated bills. Im looking to change asap0

Even for a company with as poor a record as these clowns they continue to amaze me, virtually every day the local paper features someone complaining about Powergen and their "pass the buck call centre" when you do raise issues !0

I can still see no light at the end of the tunnel with this lot judging by other recent threads and by continual local press stories. i think the only way this lot will get sorted is by a mass refusal to pay their bills to bring them to their kness !!!!!0

I recently swapped from powergen for a few reasons
1) they sent me a bill as a business ??? when i phoned to ask why? the woman asked did i have a shop at my house DOH!
2) they sent a fella to read my meter and he read it wrong DOH!
3) They estimated my bills for 3 years (even though i rung every bill with meter reading) then wanted £200 from me cos they'd underestimated it all so much.
When i called to leave i said to the woman " you better look for a new job love cos if Powergen treat all their customers like they do me you'll be out of a job in six months" i was quite pleased with myself.0 -
Just started thinking of switching from Powergen. Just received a quartlerly bill for £450 gas and elec. I am an at home Mum and the bill covers the winter months so I would expect it to be higher than normal but I cannot believe it can be so high. Or am I just being naive?
We get tesco clubcard points through powergen but I would have thought any saving by switching supplier would far outweigh the loss of clubcard points.
After reading all these posts about Pwergen getting the bill wrong I am starting to wonder if it is a mistake but when looking at the bill to try and work it out it might as well have been written in chinese!
So, does £450 sound reasonable for 3 months or am I being diddled by Powergen?Irony.
