  • I'll ask my dad exactly what he used for under the floor. We also noticed the floor got less dirty and dusty. I hope it helps the costs!

Check your loft insulation. That is the cheapest to sort out and does make a big difference.

Oh my - we're in the process of moving from London Energy to Powergen to their dual fuel/online thingy on the basis that they came up cheaper on uswitch.com. Not so sure that's a good idea having read this thread ... have a particular loathing for companies with call centres in India. That'll teach me the research properly! I'll see how it goes and swop out again if they're a nightmare.

The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
  • Powergen I moved to this company on Monday. (Switching from British Gas). I pay by prepayment meter (I know it's dearer), but have yet to receive my Electirc Key and Gas Card. Has any one else had problems like this? Don't know when now I can put money in either or if I shall be setting fire to the furniture to keep warm!
  • They MUST be desperate to get some good PR back in East Anglia (This must be big catchment area as they took over old Eastern Electricity) - they got taxis in powergen liveries to give free trips to people !!

I saw that and had a good giggle. (Only because we're not with PowerGen). They did give out an email address for those with billing problems. Powergen actually broke into someone's house to change a meter because they though that a particular family lived there. Unsurprisingly....a different PowerGen customer lived there and returned to a key and letter on their mat.

I saw Watchdog last night and saw that Bloke from Powergen. Some manager in charge of billing or call centres or something, but did you notice how much he blinked? Being that nervious hence the blinking is a sign of lying isn't it? Comments from you body language people out there, or am I just being cynical!

    Stay clear I say!

The 2 worst run companies in Britain in bed together. What a thought.
    Get out quick.

EON will not be taking over scottish power, i work for scottish power and EON have had 3 bids knocked back

weve been doing some re-structuring due to the sale of pacificorp, after the re-structuring is complete it will be business as usual

if anyone has a complaint regarding Powergen, or any other supplier for that matter hen contact the supplier first and give them a chance to resolve it, if you are still not satisfied go to Energywatch, they will be able to deal with your complaint on your behalf and will be able to get it resolved
