Floss - wear the black cocktail dress! There seem to be quite a lot of evening do type weddings now and it's basically just sort of cocktail dress with a few longer ones at the ones I've been to, nothing too swish, but dressed up looking. I'd get a wrap for the Church though else you'll be cold!

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Anniestar)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smokey))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Had a rough night but not feeling too bad this morning:D
PP-Hope you had a lovely day with your hubby. I love reading what you do through the day...its always busy but interesting.
Nels-Nice to hear from you.
TNG-Missed you yesterday...welcome home;)
Donny-Gal-I have decided to talk to my mum this weekend as Im staying over at hers and maybe we can come up with something between us with regards to the extra help. Maybe it will improve our relationship as she will see that I do need her. I havent needed her since I was 16 when she kicked me out, but im 33 now and have to let her in a bit, especially when she has a gorgeous grandaughter:p Can I also just say "thanks" for our chats...you make alot of sense as does Twink. I appreciate your time and advice:A
Everyone else-hugs and kisses!
OH & DD have gone into town as some jeans needed to be returned to TKmaxx.
WM is on and DW going on in a minute. House is clean and tidy. Rubbish/recycling was put out last night. Listed 5 things on Freecycle yesterday but dont think they have been listed yet. Have a bathboard I cant use now as I dont have a bath
and some other stuff.
DD is having a Tea Party next Wednesday and trying to find some tiered (sp) cake plates to put the sarnies on. She wants cupcakes too, so they are messing with ingredients later.
Still not made a decision on the Remoska. I have a SC and dont know whether it would make my life easier. I like the fact that it cooks so much quicker.....oh....I dont know
Anyway, Im going to go and hope you all have a great day.
Hugs to all.

I hate those kind of problems Floss2. do you know anyone else who is going and see what they are wearing. don't think you can ever go wrong with a little black dress.......
Only people I will know will be DF & our gay friend....both wearing black tie & DJ.
Am on earlies this week, so will hit TK Maxx in town later & see what they have.... otherwise I am going looking at another type of long frock on Saturday with my best mate, so will drag her off to TK Maxx in Preston
(that's one reason why I don't want to spend too much!)
Will read everything else later - must go & do some work rather than surfing...:whistle:0 -

Well it was sunny here when i woke up but then the flood sirens started to go off at 9.20 ish, had DD on the phone in a fit cos it had woke her up, she can see the river from her flat and she said its not flooded yet. She's not impressed....:rotfl:
Not alot to do today a few letters to send out to creditors we cannot pay at the moment, no work on the horizon either, i would gladly potwash somewhere for a bit extra cash, its OH birthday and i cannot afford to even get a card, i may have to raid the craft box and see what i can muster up. Will be making him a lemon drizzle cake for tomorrow.
floss2 - I would do the same as others have suggested - black dress dressed up with accessories.
We have a hand fasting to go to in October in fact we have been asked to be their witnesses, so shall have to find out what bride n groom want people dress in for that. Hand fasting is a pagan wedding ceremony for anyone not sure what it means.
anniestar - :grouphug: sorry to hear about Phoebe.
Anyway must get these letters done and posted.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.

Just come back up to my safe office after popping downstairs to find two guys staring at the assay plate washer trying to make it work by the power of the mind  *sigh* I gave them the instruction manual, but I'm not sure if they will look at it.
Annie - really sorry about Phoebe
((hugs)) for you
floss2 - I'd wear the cocktail dress
Morning all! There's a strange yellow blob in the sky.. whatever can it be? :rotfl:

:hello: Good Morning!
Bright and sunny here! Not going to see too much of it though as I am stuck indoors sorting out dd's bedroom in case she moves back in. Got rid of 6 bin bags of paper, clothes etc, the craft room is now a corner of the conservatory! It really needs decorating but that will have to wait for more energy and money to come my way!
:D I am hoping moving the furniture around will do for now as we have my surrogate dniece staying at the end of the month.
Things have calmed down considerably here after last weeks excitement as ds is now in Singapore visiting his office and work mates and working his way through as much lovely Singaporean food as he can! I must read the rest of his book before he is back, luckily it is very readable even though I am not a footie fan:rolleyes:
((((hugs))))) to anniestar, so sorry to hear about Phoebe, at least she is no longer suffering but you will miss her so much.
((((hugs)))) to Jayward, Mrs mix, Penpen and anyone else who could use one.
Just catching up and thank goodness Miss Twit turned up safe and sound!
So sorry that I couldn't join Catowen and Shez for a mini meet but just couldn't manage the journey on my own.
Right off to sort out some craft books now - I can get rid of a few now I no longer work at the After School Club.
Have a lovely day!
I would forget my head if it wasn't screwed on! The wedding photos were lovely Kathy! So glad you all enjoyed it.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Elona!

Morning everyone... wooohoooo, here the right side of midday, now that is a change!
Happy Birthday Elona, I hope you have a great day. And for D-G for Friday
Congratulations on winning the wedding dress Frugalswan, that must have been a wonderful surprise!
Poppyoscar - yet again I think we must be related:rotfl: ... I finally found one ripe cherry tomato on one of my many plants yestoday but I wouldn't let my OH pick it cos I said I wanted it to show the others a good example... He laughed for some reason...:rotfl:
Anniestar my thoughts are with you at this sad time, I know how painful it is to lose a pet. They really are a member of the family.
Ok, down here in Devon we have that strange yellow ball in the sky for the second day running but we also have gale force winds in my little part of heaven so no chance of getting outside really. I managed a couple of hours yestoday which was wonderful. Have to report my Goji berry plant is growing like a weed, and the cutting I took from it as an experiment is also growing and well over 8 inches tall.
Treacle the fat cat is asleep next to me on the desk and I have planned the rest of the weeks evening meals all from the freezer and cupboards so am feeling very virtuous..I wonder how long that will last!
Hugs to everyone who needs them today.
Diva. xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Can't seem to get moving today - is it just me?
It is (of course) chucking it down again.......sick of having washing strewn around the house to dry.
Looks like car cleaning job is off for today - will still go to recycle though as i need milk and anyway the cardboard will rip up so much more easily if it's wet!
MUST GET MOVING.......or maybe just one more cup of tea............
