    Morning all

all this talk of Harrods reminds me of the time I was chucked out - well refused entry really. It was years ago and I was at a demonstration outside the french embassy - something to do with nuclear testing. anyway I needed ciggarettes and there are no newsagents along there so I went to Harrods. I don't know whether it was my scruffiness, the placard or my dreadlocks but they didn't like the look of me - didn't Jaosn donovan have the same thing happen to him cos he had holes in his jeans or am I just going senile?

Happy birthdays elona and Donny-gal - can't wait to see what Nelski's bringing you.

dd(11) finally got to fly over The Falls yesterday - the pictures are awesome and she says it was "good".
dd(19) has decided to get some counselling and is looking into that today - I am so releived - she has a bmi of 17.7 - I don't know whether this is on purpose or just a symptom of everything else that's going on for her. She says she has lost herself and is just someone's sister, mother, daughter, girlfriend. I think she's getting a bit down about dgs(3) going to school in spetember. She is fiercely protective of him - will beg me to have him so she can have a nigth to herself and then calls constantly to see how he is.
dd(23) is driving me mad of course but at least she's safe here.

Well now I know that Pigpen keeps her beady eyes on us I'd better get on.

Hugs all round - and those who are doing too much and/or trying to sort other people out - take a rest today :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Good morning.

I seems to miss a lot of news in the evenings, when my darling husband is on the internet. I must try and make time to read the previous evening's posts.

Evil cat is in trouble for stealing chicken off little bear's plate. It is not quite as bad as it sounds because he had lingered and lingered over his tea and didn't want to be bothered with this rubbish chicken, pass the chips, so after a considerable time I just took the plate into the kitchen and then took him upstairs to start his bedtime routine.

I came downstairs to find her purring on the kitchen table as she tucked in. When I called her name she just looked at me and made a sound like a special effect before returning to her repast. I chased her all round the kitchen with a water spray gun but I have every confidence she would do exactly the same again.

Lots of thunder yesterday. I didn't like to get on the computer after around 4pm because of it. Thunder and lightning can result in the modem being blown. I am repeating what my darling husband has said several times, with force. At the first rumble of thunder I jump to attention now and start frantically shutting down. There is a hint of sunshine at the moment, but I am unconvinced that it will last. Sigh. I shall put my washing on the airer.

The morning routine is that little bear has a bottle, then I put him back in his cot for a little play (relic of the days when he went back to sleep) and I get my breakfast and browse MSE for 30 mins before going back up and getting him up and giving him breakfast. It sounds like he is going back to sleep! I had better get up and get him fed before he does otherwise his whole day will be upside down!

(((Hugs))) to AnnieS - Phoebe had a good life with her but I know the sadness when a beloved pet passes away. They become members of the family and losing them is hard.

Stef - I sometimes feel as if I'm anyone but myself - it's not so bad now that the children have left home but, for your DD, it's vital that she does something just for herself each and every day to remind herself that she is still 'her'. Even something like half an hour to read a book or listen to some music. It's so easy when you're a Mum to put yourself last, isn't it?

Catowen - remember every moment so that you can tell us all about it. We can't wait to hear about your trip!

Morning all! There's a strange yellow blob in the sky.. whatever can it be? :rotfl:
I am really enjoying my time off work, it's so good not doing the hour and twenty minute bus ride every day. Oh well, come next Monday I will be back to the world of elec and gas purchasing.. I wonder how high the markets have gone whilst I've been off

OS today I am making a batch of Twinks and it's roast chicken for dinner.

Have nice days all and hugs to those that want/need them.

Morning! Wow looks like everyone has been up and posting busily from the number on here, will read back in a bit and see what you've all been up to!

Carp weather here again, think the camping hol is looking severely unlikely, even if the rain does stop the ground is so wet.

Made dd3, the only one awake at the mo, brekkie, loaded the dw and the bm. Was very pleased yesterday, got rid of 6 bin bags of clothes that no longer fit, going to keep giving everyone a bin bag a day to fill until I can walk round the house without falling over stuff! Should be sorted in about 10 years then! Thanks to all on the enough clutter thread, felt inspired to do something about the bedrooms and clothes!

No idea what the food plan says for today, something warming I hope, will prob do meatballs, sure there is a mince meal on the plan, there is every other week lol! Will try mincing the leftover pork from lunch yesterday and see how it works, haven't made meatballs from cooked meat since I was a little girl at my nan's!

Hope everyone has a good day and that at least some of you see the sun! Hugs to any and all in need of them xx

I used the timer on the BM for the first time last night-very nice-hubby and DS well impressed. They've got hm rolls for their packed lunch.

Think I shall have a ride on the bus to a garden centre, they have a really good craft room and I thought I'd see if I could find a new Xmas stamp and get going on some cards when the weather is bad.Besides which I haven't been out of the house since Sunday, and I've def got cabin fever

Have a nice day :hello: xx

Morning all, up early and went to have a shower, when I came down stairs DH was up and drinking a coffee. He has to have a fasting blood test this morning and forgot that he couldn't eat or drink after midnight.

He's just left for Drs. so I will empty chest freezer, I'll put as much as I can into cool boxes, freezer insulated bags and wrap the rest in newspaper to stop it defrosting. I expect I'll fill 2 carrier bags full of ice once I've defrosted the freezer, haven't done it for a year, shame on me. We will move it into the new utility room. DH will start to install units today, yippee. :T

Will defrost loads of stewing steak and make a huge curry, also cook 3 joints and anything else I can fit into the oven, make the most of having to use elec.

We have deceided to wash dishes by hand every other day to save on elec.
and do shopping after 6pm to only buy reduced stuff at Morries.

Any other MS ideas gratefully received.

Hugs ANNIESTAR, CANDYGIRL, JAYWARD, PENPIN, JACKIEO, SMOKIE.
((((((( SILVERCHARMING))))))) got your pm, your welcome. take care. x
