  • Morning all! (Oh wait, damn, it's the afternoon again.. *sighs*)

I managed to miss posting yesterday altogether, wasn't too bright so stayed offline... but thank you to everyone who mentioned me in their posts.. I love hearing about everyones mad cats, it makes me feel SO much better about my ginger girl. Here is a piece of trivia for you. Did you know that only male cats can be completely ginger? If you have a female (like me) they will ALWAYS have a patch of white somewhere. It's a genetic thing apparently. My Treacle has a white patch on her tummy which you never really see.

Anyway.. I wanted to say to MrBadExample, that yes, I HAD fed her before I went to bed and she still had food in her bowl, but for some reason as she has got older (she is 11 or 12 now - this is the vets best guess) she insists on being shown to the bowl personally by either me or my OH. Rather like the Queen being seated at a banquet, my lil fat cat needs to be escorted personally to eat!

Whatatwit - what a horrible scary time for you and your family, I am so glad she came home safe and sound and that she never does that again to you, it must have been so awful.

Moiliere - I love the hot pink and the bride looked so beautiful and the groom is very handsome. I was so touched by your beautiful description of the service..

Poppyoscar - You made me laugh again - my cat was a stray that just bullied her way into the house 10 years ago and kept coming back no matter how many times we threw her out. I had lost my cat of 18 yrs, 3 yrs before and it had broken my heart so much I had NO intention of having another cat but Treacle decided she wanted in and we gradually gave in :rotfl: . Now I couldn't be without her and her funny ways.

Anyway, I wanted to send hugs to to Pennypincher, Beth and her DBs, Smoky, Jayward, Candygirl and EssexGirls fathers and anyone else who wants one.

Finally, happy birthday to anyone who is celebrating today:beer:

Well we didn't make it to Ilfracombe  I was ready while mr troo was in the shower so I nipped down the garden to pick some toms. I thought 'oh the broad beans look a bit messy, I'll just tidy them up'. Then I spotted weeds, then mr troo came down the garden with cups of tea and joined in with the gardening :D So we're going to the garden centre instead - I've made rolls and flasks of coffee so we'll find somewhere wet and soggy to have a picnic :D

Silvercharming, we had plans for a smallholding (still do) but then thought why wait til we can afford more land? Let's just start it in the garden we have, but on a small scale. So we did :D As chooks are part of the smallholding plan, he can hardly argue about having them here :D

Donny-gal, I can't have the scanner, sorry :o But thanks for the offer. Thanks thanks thanks  Just a warning - it's very soggy here :D

MoneysavingDiva - thanks for your kind words about the wedding!

    Splodge - welcome back!

Donny - my DS1's Wii fit put me at 12 years older but my DH at just 1 year older! How infuriating is that?!! He likes to keep reminding me, too! I don't believe it though, because he groans and grumbles about his aches and pains as much as I do and grunts louder than me when he has to bend down!

Afternoon all:hello: . I feel much better today, sore throat gone,Lemsips must have done the trick. Its so horrible here, cold dark and very very wet.The dog had a very short walk this morning and I don't think he was bothered!

Wannabe S- a Remoska just sits on your worktop and plugs in,just has one on/off switch.I've had my grand a couple of months now and really like it - it would be ideal for use if you are going to be without a kitchen.I wish I'd known about them a couple of years ago when we were doing our building work- my son threatened to leave home if we had another slow cooked casserole! Last night I did toad in the hole from the little cook book that comes with it,v yummy.I've got the grand ( for 3 hungry adults) sometimes theres a bit left, but it never gets wasted.

I can't actually hear the radio I've got on for the rain bashing down on the conservatory roof.
I'm waiting for a malt loaf to finish in my new Panny- I thought this site was 'moneysaving',;) what with that and the Remoska I'm skint, still I suppose you have to speculate to accumulate.:D I do know I've hardly used my fan oven so that must be saving us loads. We'll get our gas and leccy bill soon as we're swapping provider,so I can check up then.I fancy one of the plug in power monitors, but thats yet another gadget!

Well must go and do stuff (((HUGS))) all.

    Afternoon everyone,

I seem to have missed all the excitement as I've not been online much over the last few days:confused: so anyway, (((((hugs)))) to all who need/want one.

I notice Facebook being mentioned - I'm afraid I don't have the confidence to try it. I'm convinced no-one would want to be my friend.

Sausage Inna Bun for tea tonight, as the Dungeons & Dragons group is starting up again, after a several month hiatus following a member's death, and we shall have to be out of the door sharpish to get to the new host's house for 20:00.

    Have a good day, all.

Kathy my mother has just bought herself a Remoska from Lakeland, a baby one just big enough for her, I read through the book and was really surprised at the things you can cook in it. Now she tells me "you need one of these for when you get your caravan"....shes got me thinking now.....;)

Havent read through yet just this last page, but will do later, been over to mums with her shopping from yesterday, have run the vac round and cleaned kitchen and bathroom so she is all clean and tidy for a few days.
We are going out again in a bit, meeting some friends for lunch, they are back from their caravan and rang to ask if we fancied meeting up, so I thought yes that would be nice, havent seen them for a few weeks as they have been in Paignton, so it will be nice to catch up.

What a funny sort of day, the rain was torrential then it stopped and the sun came out , then rain then sun.... crazy!!!!
