On the benefits front I just dont know whats going on, have been paid twice but cannot make out the figures. Wont be paid again until 22nd. Need to find out as need to do a SOA for creditors and they are calling me back on Friday, dont really want to sit in a queue on the phone for another 20 mins, but I may have to.

    Hello all !
Was dur to visit my friend this afternoon but sore throat/cough - don't think she'd like me to share that with her, especially as she's due to go into hospital the end of next week. So, at the minute I'm having a go at making my door hangers and waiting for glue to dry with fingers and toes crossed they turn out ok.
Weather is wet and not very good at all............left off raining for a bit but its going to be one of those days where it could chuck it down any minute.

Hope you have a good day and hugs (((((((:o ))))))))) to those who need them

    Morning All

    Rain, rain, rain goodsigh2.gif

Late start for me this morning as was woken from a deep sleep by the phone, was OH's DD wanting to speak to him as she had had a row with her mum, well he wasn't here, he was fast asleep in his waggon out in the wilds of Wales. Couldn't get back to sleep for hours, it scares me when the phone goes when I'm asleep. Of course she then rang him and he was awake all night worrying.

DW, BM and TD all on, bet my electric meter is whizzing round  also its so dark I've got the lights on.

Have just finished doing the bathroom and when TD is finished I will do the kitchen, then I might brave the rain and go to the library.

grouphugg.gif for us all as I think we need them :D

Poppy, have you tried propping the flap open a bit.
Ours was a rescue, he catches pigeons etc.

He knows how to do it! We had one in France - he just thinks it's not the same as it's into the shed (it's even the SAME flap!!!! lol!!!! i brought it back with me!!!!)

Right now I think I should put him out as it's raining so hard he'd either have to learn boatbuilding, to swim or to use the flap...........

Rain is chucking it down now, just as wm has finished, pah! Glad I didn't wait for girls and took dog out myself! Not done much else other than brekkie for me and dd3 - she wanted spaghetti hoops on toast, euch!

Given instructions about dw and hoovering to dd1 and dd2, dd3 is clearing her art and craft stuff away, hopefully binning the rubbish too! Popped huge shoulder of pork in Remoska, and now back in bed, must get some sleep at some point! Stuck note on ds's computer about mending the french windows, apparently he knows what to do, finger's crossed I don't wake to the sound of breaking glass!

Spoke to friend who's travelling across Africa, currently staying with some of another friend's friends in Sudan, apparently its hot, well that made me feel better, lol!

Oh dd3 has made up a dance I have to go and watch, doesn't sound like she's taken the clearing up message to heart lol!

    :eek:Hi Everyone

Just had a very quick scan read, as time is flying by.

Been to Docs to bring them up to date on blood tests in Spain in June, and the re-test recommended for now. Will have the test tomorrow. Then to the hairdressers to lose the twinklies. Now back home and the walls in the bedroom are being plastered:eek:  :D

Due to leave for troo land tomorrow, so will be mainly out of communication until after the Bank Holiday, but trying to re-build the laptop before I go!
Last chance Troo - do I bring the scanner with me or not? Going to celebrate my birthday on Friday with DS and GF, attend a couple of caravan rallies, the second one being at Broughton Castle near Banbury for the BH weekend, and hope the weather improves!

Pen-Pin - I know you don't like taking money from Mum, but it is a way she feels she can help, and maybe would help with the extra helper time? As a Mum myself, and having a Mum who always liked to help when times were tight for us, it is a way of showing she cares you know, even if you don't feel that. She knows she doesn't have to, but she obviously wants to, re the scooter.

Right so much to do, and not enough time to do it in. Take care all of you, and (((hugs))) to you all, especially the poorly ones, and those in need of a hug.

The wii fit told me I was 12 years older than I am:mad: , but luckily it told DH the same too;) .

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Donny, have a great time in the land of Troo :) I think my wiifit told me I was about 20 years older than I am...eek!!!!!! So I have lent it to my sister ;)

I have got so much stuff I should be doing right now but all I have done, other than make the occasional cuppa & microwave a ready meal that was in the fridge, is sit on my sofa surfing the internet. I'm still waiting for MFI to collect old DW, I have a funny feeling they won't turn up - that would fit in just right with this ridiculous saga so far - but I just cannot find the motivation to do anything else. I don't know where to begin...

Mr Benn, wow, I used to love watching that :)
Beemuzed, may see you on FB then - I put a link to my profile on yesterday's thread - have confirmed a couple of people as friends but don't know who they are on here, lol!!!!

Hi all - have just ploughed through a pile of paperwork then posted lots of letters and treated myself to a KitKat for after lunch. It started pouring down as soon as I left the house (I walked to the Post Office because it's only ten minutes away and not worth wasting petrol on), then, on the way back it was completely dry and sunny. It's more like April than August.

Donny - good luck with the retest. Hope the building work is not driving you mad.

    RedRuby - have pm'd you!

Troo - I love Ilfracombe especially the beach when the tide is in! I spent many a happy childhood holiday there and we went back a couple of years ago for a long weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. I would never get tired of the place.

Stef - talking about dreams I dreamt that my new DIL decided I needed a new pet and thought a fully-grown lion was a good idea! He lived in the garden and she couldn't understand why I wouldn't hang my washing on the line! What that means, I don't know. She and I get on really well; I love her like she's my own so I don't think it indicates anything bad. At least, I hope it doesn't!

Well, I'm starving now and my KitKat keeps looking at me so I must make a quick sandwich and then I can eat it!

    See you all later.
