I notice Facebook being mentioned - I'm afraid I don't have the confidence to try it. I'm convinced no-one would want to be my friend.

don't be daft - we all would - warning though -its as much of a time waster as doggies, grandbabies and MSE all rolled into one! Actually when dd made it for me some time ago I only had two friends, one was her and the other was Mr CaringSharing - oh dear

Well this morning, out of my long long list, I have acheived .............. a bath - shame shameI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Thanks Hester - can you give me the edited (and probably censored) highlights of your lodgers exploits in recent times....? I haven't caught up on the blog for ages, but then I haven't stopped laughing yet.......:D

Afternoon peeps
well it`s finally stopped raining and the sun is shining, hope it lasts!
We were supposed to be having salad for dinner but with the nasty weather i didn`t feel like it and fancied something more warming so i nipped out to Sainsburys and bought baking potatoes and chicken pieces so we will be having some sort of chicken casserole later.
I`ve done my most hated job of defrosting the freezer :j i would rather iron for 2 hours and thats something i don`t like to do either, on the plus side i`ve got a new frezer inventory and i can now start to "fill her up" again.
I walked the houndies as soon as the rain stopped and picked up 2 new doggie beds from my neighbour who has a friend who sed to have a shop and has some stock left, we didn`t really need any as i usually make them but for £6 each i could hardly say no could i?
Princess Pixiedust - Congratulations on your win, bet you`re over the moon:D
Mioliere - The photo`s are lovely, what a handsome couple.
Charlies _mum - good luck at the weigh in.
Kaat - i`m so glad to hear your cat is back
Sistercas - I too would love a remoska and have been hankering after one for a good while, unfortunately we don`t have the funds at the moment so i`ll just have to wait  i am tempted to just shove it on the credit card though:D
Silver Charming / Pippa S - Thanks for the reassurance about the gardening, i`m just muddling through but so far so good. It`s so nice when you can eat what you grow.
Pink 1970 - Hope that you manage to get everything sorted out soon, it must be so frustrating for you.
I did make a facebook account and found that i had no idea what to do so i deleted it
i might have another go at it when i get time, it would be nice to see everyone and make some more friends.
Well i spoke too soon abut the weather brightening up as a big black cloud has appeared and now it`s thundering and lightening  .
Think i`d better go and sort the rest of the kitchen out as if i leave it much longer it will still need doing when DH gets home.
Have a good afternoon peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Lame Wolf - I met my darling husband when I first started roleplaying, with an extremely iffy game of Call of Cthulu. We both joined the group at university that evening and we were both equally baffled - although he had been roleplaying for years. It was a wonderful way to court.
Little bear is still grumpy, and has, from the sounds coming from upstairs, recently taken a deliver of scaffolding poles. He INSISTED that he wanted to be in his playpen, and now I know why - a shipment of building materials was due.
The playpen is a large Baby Dan sort of thingy with heavy metal bars and a padded base. He also has in there a multitude of soft toys and a sheepskin rug. My darling husband's aunt gave it to us, as apparently that is what is fashionable for babies to sleep on, but little bear decided that he was not a fashionista and threw it out of the cot. It is right next to the baby monitor in his room, so at them moment I think he is playing with a wooden toy, but the distortion makes it sound like a building site. The rainmaker sounds like a delivery of aggregate.
Today is an oven chips day. I have been so poorly for the last few days that a small amount of time sitting at the computer seems a wonderful idea. Then I can plough on with the ironing. There is just so much of it at the moment that it seems an impossible task, but it will be even more impossible if I don't start it soon.
Evil cat is begging to go out. She doesn't quite believe that it is raining outside, so every time I open the door for her I get the 'what sort of fool do you think I am?' look then she stalks off and sulks until she tries to get me to open the door again. How easy is it to fit a cat flap in a plastic door? Poppyoscar, evil cat is really, really intellectually challenged.
RosyRed - thank you for letting me know about the Remoska. I shall have to look at the Remoska thread, but it seems so long it is daunting. It does seem a very useful addition to the kitchen.
A catalogue of knitting supplies has just arrived. Now, I have a pattern and I have bought the wool to make tank tops for all my male relatives, that is father, two brothers, uncle and little bear. My darling husband will do a lot of things for me, but wearing a hand knitted sweater is not one of them. I cannot possibly justify buying more wool, I have several sheep's worth upstairs already. But it is so tempting. Perhaps if I get some of the tank tops finished then I could perhaps consider, as a treat, getting some of the lovely patterns...Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Oh my days - Pigpen on the daily - I feel like I've just been visited by royalty - either that or she's checking up on naughty flybabiesI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

Anyway, just heard from Catowen, she is finally here and is now in Harrods!! I think she is searching for a "tractor";) Have arranged to meet her tomorrow morning at the Science Museum:D We have had a slight break in the rain, so I hope it stays dry enough for her stay.0 -
:rotfl: Mr LW and I first met at D&D when I first joined Mensa...... first thing the toerag did was fireball me!! That was January 2002 - but I got my own back on him..... I moved in with him in May 2002.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:wannabe_sybil wrote: »Lame Wolf - I met my darling husband when I first started roleplaying, with an extremely iffy game of Call of Cthulu.
