Think I will cook something in the Remoska for dinner - again. It is making me really lazy as I just throw everything in and by the time DH comes home, I am sitting with my feet up just waiting for dinner to be ready. I love my Remoska :D

I soooo want a remoska but they are expensive. I could ask for one for my birthday but thats not till november dont know if I can wait that long. i have read the remoska thread and they sound brilliant

    Good Morning All

N9eav - Bargain Rzl will be the one to point you in the right direction for cheap eating in London.

Charliesmum - my replacement Remoska wont be coming till next week as the grand is out of stock.

Late posting for me as had a big lie in today (well till 8am). Got back from our weekend away last night and was so tired as we have been having late nights and early mornings. Had a fantastic time and we were very lucky with the weather - only a couple of hours of rain on Saturday (sorry N9eav). Spent a little more than I budgeted for so will be watching the pennies this week.

No idea whats for dinner today, need to do a big shop but havnt written a list so will pop out to a local butchers just for something for today.

Have sent a request to join the OS facebook group but Im like you Mioliere -I dont really understand it.

Anyway have loads of paperwork to get on with and not even going to mention the washing. (Has just stopped raining here - hopefully will get some dry outside).

Will try and catch up with the weekends thread later.

    Morning all!

    It's raining here - as usual:rolleyes:

DW is unstacked and ready for today's onslaught. I need to do something about the ironing mountain which has now developed several foothills and there could be an avalanche at any time.. If I don't pop back later, does anyone know any Sherpas?? :rotfl:

Rest of a pack of mince for tea. Yes I know I should have cooked the lot yesterday, but a Terry Pratchett fell open in my hand and that was that really :D

I hope everyone is okay and hugs for those who need or want them.

Hi PenPin - (((hugs))) to you. The Remoska takes up the same space as a medium-sized slow-cooker or saucepan. Mine is the Standard and stands at 6" high, 9" wide - 12" with the handle. I use it almost every day, it does everything you would normally fry, bake, poach, grill and roast but at a fraction of the cost. I've roasted a whole chicken in it and it was the best roast chicken I have ever cooked! It is a doddle to clean and I would NOT be without mine! See Charley'sMum's post on the first page today for further recommendation! You just shove food in and leave it to cook. I have barely used my main oven since I bought mine. The Standard (I paid £79.99 with free delivery for mine) is great for the two of us but, if the boys were still living here I would have gone for the Grand. As the initial outlay is not cheap I would not recommend it if I hadn't proved to myself that it works, but I think it will pay for itself in no time now that gas and electricity are going through the roof.

As you already have Lakeland vouchers I can think of no better way of spending them!

  • Morning all,

My phone line has been out of action since the weekend (while I was trying to book concert tickets  ) and has only now been fixed. I suppose it has saved me about £200 as DS has said now its ok not to go the concert.

So, I have missed everything for the last few days. (((hugs))) to those who need one and :j to those with something to celebrate - especially pixie I understand. :D Got the begging letter from twink yet? :D

Off to the gym shortly then I will pop out to Mr T's as I got the £5 off a £30 shop at the w/e. Then I intend to tidy my bedroom some more - I'm beginning to see a difference in it and it looks much nicer for it.

Dinner will be something from the freezer - no idea what though. :D

    Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx
