went sainsburys a few days ago was particularly interested in the pistacio pots. There were a few asian ladies who were going crazy over them, I mean filling the whole trolly up. I went to pick a few up and I was told that you can only buy 6. So what the ladies did was buy 6, leave it in the car and came back in to buy the next lot of 6. They did a few trips, these ladies were friends or reletives.
I went in with my mum,I picked up 2 and my mum picked up the 6. I am not really sure what had happend but it looked like that the staff got quite p***** off and went to all the tills saying that they are not lo let any nuts through for sale. My mother was at the tills and the pistacio nuts were taken away from her. She was told thet they are not for sale no more. One of the ladied asked to see the manager and she was told thet she can buy what she is holding but no more were to be sold. I end up buying mine and I went to ask the staff member why they were taken away from my mum and she said that they just will not sell no more and if I wana buy mine I should just go and buy mine. There were about 4 staff involved including the security guard.
Can they do this, can they just refuse to sell something and just take it away form you. I also asked to see the manager but they would not call the manager.0 -
I have now been through the Small Claims procedure, and am pleased to report that the court, ordered the Jeweller to recompense me the sum that I asked for plus my costs. I was not able to attend the hearing, but my written submission was accepted.
However, I would still have been much happier if the Jeweller had found my father's ring, as the sentimental value far outweighs any financial recompense.
At least I didn't have to accept the cover note.0 -

Firstly, your contract is with Virgin and not Nintendo so insist they deal with your problem.
Secondly, it is not necessary to have a receipt. Any proof of purchase is acceptable and a card statement is more than acceptable.
Visit the store and tell them the product has failed and you expect them to repair or replace it for you under the guarantee. Under the Sale of Goods Act they are obliged to deal with this for you. If you have a problem with them come back to us here.

my father had rented his property for a while and had his gas meter changed to a pre-pay meter. He has now moved back into his old house over a year ago. He was with british gas and had problems having the gas meter changed back to the normal one He then changed suppliers to powergen who took an advance payment of around £50 to change the meter, This was done sumtime last year in august. They have sent an engeneer out 3 times after being requested but for some reason they are not changing it. They always giving excuses, at one point they said that the meter is positioned in a weird place and my father has to pay more to have a normal one placed. I mean the normal meter was originally there in the first place so why will it not fit there anymore.
Theres about 7 members living in that house and the pay-meter is quite expensive let alone having to top-up every so often which gets annoying. I usually make the call on my fathers behalf but nowI have had enough. Can you please advice on what I can do.
Thanx0 -

Speak to the complaints people at BG but if this doesn't work complain to ofgem. You can find the details at:
