Evening everyone
ancasta - prawn cocktail is a must for Christmas Day! My mum has to make it every year otherwise she'd have a riot on her hands - mainly from my gran. On a wedding dress note, when I went to try on wedding dresses we weren't allowed to take photos for copyright purposes. Obviously, if you buy said dress then you can do. My chief bridesmaid and I were really disappointed. Then again, I go and check my dress on line all the time now that I've got it!
ivyleaf - Ooooh, I do like a bargain! My best one was a hat for summer weddings that was in the sale in M&S for £12.50 anyway and when I got it to the till I was only charged a fiver. It will be on its fifth wedding by next year - £1 a wear isn't bad.
As for the rest of the day, well I'm surprised that I'm still teaching. The children don't get any better. I had to send two children out of the classroom for just interupting the lesson repeatedly. Anyway, it's money, experience (which is invaluable when I'm trying to get my first proper teaching job) and "character building".
OH and I are going to Birmingham this weekend to stay with his twin sister. I'll hopefully get to do a bit of Christmas shopping. At least I've started.
However, joy of joys, in one of the local towns they are opening a BRAND NEW Wilkos! Wooohoooo! Although it's 10 miles away, most other things are 10 - 15 miles away so this is practically on our door step. Mmmmmmm. Time to party I think  :j
Anyway, OH are going to be very bad and un-OS and have a takeaway. We haven't decided where from, but I'm not up to cooking tonight. Not even reheating I'm afraid.

Well, I only dipped in to check on the best credit card rates - in the meantime the sun's gone down, the tea remains uncooked and a chill wind blows around my ankles.
So, I must tear myself away from all this inspiring bargain hunting, best recipes and money saving tips and rustle up some home-cooked grub for the ravenous hoards.

I did that 6 months ago and I still haven't found the exit
