Morning all!
Lovely & bright but cold here today. Yesterday we did a day trip to France so have really got going with the Christmas shopping, got some good ideas for things to make, too, while looking round some of the 'posh' shops!
Home ed. group meeting today, so another day when no housework gets done today, either. Never mind, the dust won't go away - it'll wait around for me to come home (unfortunately!!!)
Have a good day0 -
Morning all!
Disaster here this morning OH's van broken down , had a new engine in it a while ago and didn't realize no antifreeze in it
could have used my car but we sold it last night as my mums having a new one and giving me hers (sunday) :j for free !!!!
Just when things pickup something always comes along to ruin it
am borrowing her car this morning to go Christmas shoppingthen later making lasagne for tea(and freezer)
DS1gone to school dressed at a waitress for children in need!looks a bit like Anne in Little Britain !
Hope you all have a good day! :wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all - Really frosty here this morning - but bright and sunny.
Everyone's off to work or school and I've been left getting everything ready for the in-laws stay....I've changed our bed for them and set up camp bed on DD2's room for me and DH and then set up another camp bed in DD1's room for DD2 to sleep on!
Waiting for tesco to bring my shopping - need to give the larder a quick tidy when it arrives and make room in the freezer to get the turkey in! They were half price and I needed to spend £75 to use a vouhcer I had so thought I may as well get it this week, with the £10 voucher it only really cost me £2.99 :T
The house is as tidy as it's going to get today and I need to shove a chicken in the SC at about 11am, going to do it with lots of sliced onions and white wine..should be yummy. Serving it with jacket spuds and cauliflower and broccoli in a cheesy sauce.
Hope you all have a wonderful day - we're off to see HP tomorrow and really looking forward to it!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Had a row with OH this morn, not in the mood today as I've got lots to do and feel rough.
Penny-Pincher!! - Sorry you feel so rough today, enjoy the movie
ancasta - I really hope you manage to get the dress you want and admire your determination. I'm sure you'll have a great weddingMortgage-free wannabe!0 -
Hello everyone
Just got back from DS2's speech tharapy. We're on to "fffffffffour ffffffffffffish" and "fffffour fffffffffairies" . Guess what the sound of the week isHad a word with the health visitor while I was at the clinic about DS2's potty training. She's said put him back in nappies 24/7 until the spring - he obviously isn't feeling the 'sensation' all the time yet, and we've got into this viscious circle of trying to get him there. Ah well, like I can afford a 3 1/2 yo to be in nappies still
Anyway, it's reached the dizzy heights of 2 deg C here, but beautiful and sunny. Have got the inclination to do 'stuff' today so may get round to doing some of those jobs I keep putting off. Not sure which ones yet, but hey, it's still early.
Brekkie was porridge, lunch will be HM soup and toast and tea will probably be fish, or lamb bhuna. Depends what I get out of the freezer - ooops, no white basmati, so will be fish.
Ok, dishy needs activating, as does washy, tumbly, vaccy, dusty - oh, that's me thenFirst though, kettly need to go on
See ya later.

Yeah, and the animal you associate 'fff' with is a rabbit!! Weird that eh?

Shes just getting over cancer so she can have it in her room if shes in bed & downstairs when shes there. A few weeks ago bought her The Walker Brothers greatest hits cd, she'll love that!
Its DD's party tonight. DH is paying thank goodness as I certainly wasn't thinking money saving ideas when I booked it

DD is zig zagging around the edges of her nightdress(she is making it from scratch) this morning. Its sunny again but cold.
Our intruders were over AGAIN yesterday and kicked down our fence(chain link and chicken wire).OH went from house to house along our road asking who had,had garden intruders and they all had.One had ,had their garage window forced.Ofcourse police wave it away as nothing and even had the cheek to say it was just school kids on their way home(at 6.30 pm and no school in the direction they come from). OH is a special in London and is disgusted by the way the police behave down here in Kent (so am I). Sorry to winge but it is SO frustrating!
Lunch today will be sausage sandwiches.
Im off for a hot chocolate to cheer myself up.0 -

Lol - I had to think about that one as we've never had to associate it with an animal, it's the sound a firework makes(And I had to remember we weren't in The Arms either
But then, I suppose you have to do an exaggerated bugs-bunny bite-the-lip face whilst demonstrating it to little onesDo you have a child in speech therapy?
Now - I really must do some of that 'stuff' I was going to do. Since my last post, I've made a :coffee:, opened the mail, rung my mum, fed DS2 (he's having a hungry day), looked for the Sky remote- where do they get to? and , erm.... looked at the dust on my wall unit
Oh - I have mopped all the condensation off the windows. Well, coffee is finished, so byeeeeee.

Morning :hello:
Sorry for not posting yesterday - worked a 12 hour day with no spare time at all, then sloped off to pub with boss's boss (who was the only other person left in the office at 9:20pm...) so by the time I got home I was too tired even to check my email, never mind posting on here, plus I missed first in new series of Little Britain  Had takeaway kebab too, from place on way home - cost £3 but they are nice kebabs! Boss's boss says that next time we go out after work he will take me out for dinner which will solve that problem in future
Anyway, some good came out of it cos boss's boss agrees with me that we've been working ridiculous hours and has promised to see how matters can be improved :j and in the short term, nobody complained when I said I was leaving no later than 4pm today :j
ancasta - your dress sounds fantastic, I'm going to PM you for a pic! Just don't go getting pregnant and spoiling the planYour CD collection sounds almost as big as my housemate's, though his is all classical and "nostalgia". He uses the house as an extension of the second-hand CD shop he owns, and it's only a 2-up 2-down semi with a tiny loft! Currently the floor of front room is almost entirely covered with CDs in perfect alphabetical order...
P-P etc - I should get to see Harry Potter next Tuesday (cheap day at local) or Wednesday (Orange Wednesday with OH). Really looking forward to it - should be action-packed given the fact that it's not a particularly long film considering the length of the book.
Now, what to do at the weekend? Need to do some cooking for the freezer as next week looks quite busy. Will do that apple crumble with the bramleys I told you about. Current collection of reduced meat in freezer consists of beef mince, lamb mince, & pork sausages - might be able to pick up some bargains tonight as well. Tomorrow may end up with a sausage casserole in the SC if I wake up at a reasonable time (am going out at 5:30pm ish so anything in SC must be ready/boxed up for freezer by then!) plus spag bol or similar on the hob. Tied up all day Sunday with singing rehearsals etc so Sat is my one chance to get organised for the week ahead. Must pick up lots of veg on way home tonight...Operation Get in Shape
