Very very late posting today - but just been catching up on here - been at work all day - dress down cos it's children in need and had a meeting about a project I worked on in the summer over lunch and it included free lunch :)

Been out tonight to watch a musical in a local theatre with a group of friends from the musical society I'm in so that was nice - but had to keep de icing the car - and found my hat today - can't believe how cold it is.

Have managed to put all the clean washing away from this week and put a load on which OH has just got out the machine.

Off to bed now as we want to get up early and get into York so I can collect my parcel, go to the bank and get a few bits before the hoards of shoppers get in

    Morning OS'ers,

An early one here in the house of kiwi, children aye - who'd have em? I've been up all bleeding night with my lot.Well 2 of them anyway. Have finally given in a put the tv on and given them both milk in an effort to send them back to the land of nod. Needless to say that DH will be doing some serious childminding this afternoon whilst mummy goes back to bed.

Where do you find your graphics nelski??? They have me in stitches :rotfl: Seriously though, if you do happen to find that perfect MATH/SQUEAKY combination in Bareclona then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask if he has a brother- nudge nudge wink wink ;) Might just trade mine in, what do you reckon I could get for him???

Nothing planned today, not much needed in the way of food, thank god,so NO SHOPPING YAY. Will pick up some fruit and veg at the market but thats it for me. A trip to the library and maybe the park if the weather is nice to us.

Righto, off to guzzle lots of :coffee: and do some reading. Have finished :money: new book so will have to trudge upstairs to see what else I have.

Hope youve all had a better nights sleep than me.
    Enjoy the W/E,

In alot of pain so was unable to get a good nights sleep-never mind! It gives me time to potter around and do a few things before OH & DD get up, and to read through all latest threads etc :D

The last few weeks we have been making sure that downstairs is tidy before we go to bed-everything in DW, nothing on sides, floors quickly swept etc and it makes such a difference in the morning and only takes a couple of mins each evening. Have noticed too that without our westie there is hardly any dust and floors stay looking cleaner for longer :D

Have a washload ready to go in a minute, DW only 1/3 loaded as OH washed pots by hand and means we can go longer between DW running(well every penny counts!) :o Freezing cold here again this morning so will use the TD  as we wont be in later incase it starts to rain etc.

OH only has final coat of paint to do on stairs ready for carpet being fitted wednesday :T cant wait! Hopefully, he can continue and do all the wooden skirting/beading downstairs-just want my house to be finished. I dont think there is one room that is finished yet-properly IYKWIM. What is it with men and not finishing a job before starting another. Wish I had the money to just get someone in to finish it all, and to make it easier on OH

We are visiting OH's cousin and family today (about 50miles away) as theyve just had their second baby-well 10 weeks ago..lol. Am taking some pressies for them but were all bargains or free! Baby-lovely top from Boots (reduced to £5-bought fully with points!), Mum/Dad-Avent Baby food storage freezer set (£20 in Tescos-but got free through freebie board :D ) Also got them a Folk Art welcome wooden plaque-anniversary pressy (Ebay wholesale set-about £1), then other child-mini hummer sparkly car (£2.99 Asda). So all 4 pressis costing just £3.99

Having a cooked breakfast before we go of: Bacon, sausage, hash brown, beans, fried bread and egg. Dont know what they will be having for lunch so am taking a portion of HM chilli and potatoe to bake so I have something I can have (with me special diet etc) Dinner not sure.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Morning you lot :D

Yep - kids - who'd 'ave 'em

Fancy standing in the kitchen at 6.15 showing a 3yo the intricacies of playing the spoons :rotfl: It's when he tries it using the spoon he's been eating weetabix with that it gets a bit messy :D

I managed loads yesterday - steam cleaned the bathroom/downstairs loo incl all the tiles and walls (men!!) Did loads of washing and then last night sorted a huge pile of paperwork in the study, so now I can get in here to vac properly. May even get all the attchments out and do all the books as well as the shelf fronts.

We're off to DS1's school Xmas fair (not a fayre, this one) this afternoon, so I have no idea what else the day will bring. No karate for DS1 so if it's nice, I may send them out on their bikes. I am sure I'll find something worthwhile to do in the warmth of the house :D

Have a good day all, I'm off to finish my porridge and decide whether to get lamb chops out of the freezer or make a lamb bhuna......

    Morning all

Went to see Harry Potter last night - wasn't as good as I was expecting - but DD's enjoyed themselves. Mother is babysitting today so that we can go to France with In-laws - Will have a little stock up on some bits for xmas.

Had chicken in the SC with onions, celery and white wine last night - there's loads of liquid and stodge left so will make a lovely soup.

Will report back if I get any real bargins.....cheap wine anyone???

    Have a good one x

  • Morning my lovelies :D

Hugs to all of you who have posted and a huge yay for Jo!

Im off to view my wedding reception venue today and to get an idea of total costs etc then im off to see a wedding warehouse dress place with MIL as i dont want her to feel left out... when in fact i havent even involved my mam yet, i think shes playing it cool so she doesnt crowd me but im in a scary stressful time i need me mammy!

Got home lastnight at about 7 from grandmas after OH got fined £30 by a stupid f****g jobsworth police man for using a bus lane that is about 2m long *angry katie* the alternative is to go about a mile-2mile out of the way so we figure the 2yr we have lived here has saved us more than £30 petro and time. He laughed about it and it is quite funny cuz he flashed the police man through the gap :rotfl:

Meant to be going to a wedding reception tonight but i *really* dont want to go, i barely know the couple and i certainly dont know anyone else at the wedding and im meant to be on call for work, luckily i work just up the road in the city centre from the venue but i cant drink or anyhthing. meh.

Will post back later with results from venue and another dress parade.

Oh Ancasta, I really love reading about your wedding plans. My wedding was a bit of a rush job, no not for that reason

DH asked me on the 2nd of Feb, I didnt say yes until the 7th and wewere married on the 22nd  at Ealing registery office. Wholething cost less than £500 including dress.

Having said that if I had the chance again I would save and spend a bit more so my family from NZ could come as they missed out.

Enjoy planning yours, even the stresses of it.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Well, it's very very frost outside today. I know this............ because I've looked out of the window!

We're going to visit OH's twin sister (no, they're not identical. Honestly, all the people that have asked me that - how can they be identical when OH is male and his sister is female? :D :rotfl:) in Birmingham today. We'll be watching the rugby on a screen in a pub. I am hoping that lunch will be included somewhere in the procedings as I'll be starving by then!

Jamie Oliver's chilli con carne last night was quite nice. I've had better things from his recipe books, but I've been spoilt by OH's super duper chilli con carne in which he puts (amongst other things) baked beans. :D

No other plans for this weekend. I should be hearing more about my new job tomorrow.

    Have a good time.
