OH was up half the night having a chat with the loo (ie he was ill!)

I used to know someone who called this 'talking to God on the big white telephone'!! Always made me chuckle.

Oh what a day. I am feeling much better now, have been having a few CFS problems over the last week or so which were made worse by a nasty throat infection, bla bla bla. Anyway I'm on the mend now, yay!!!!

Spent today sorting out christmas presenst that I already have, putting them all together and stuff. I then popped on Alice in Wonderland (bought it with the last £5 off play.com voucher, i'm all set for tomorrows!) and wrapped my OH's christmas presents, well the ones I have that is. It was loads of fun and made me feel really happy, the kitten enjoyed herself too, the paper, tape and scissors!!!!!! were too much of a temptation, bless her. I think next time she will have to go in another room and play with er toys for a little while.

Popped to tescos with mum and got loaves of best of both reduced to 18p for freezer, doughnuts for 29p for out tummies and peanuts (r and r) for the birds. I will pop that out tomorrow I think.

Its been a nice day, I hope everyone else has been well and enjoyed themselves. Sleep tight all.

Just been trying to look at xmas presents online... found an MP3 player for my lil bro at a very an afforable price. But OH said he'd like the sopranos box sets for xmas.... £160.95!!   For even one of series its £31.99 on play.com! I know he spends lots on stuff........ but sheesh! I was thinking of maybe £20 at the most on each of us. :o Think i'll have to try and approach the subject with him.. im only spending £5-10 each on my own family!!!

Todays plans are to carry on thouroughly sorting out the house - did downstairs yesterday (2 bin bags of rubbish!! ) - today is upstairs now i have borrowed my mums hoover! :rotfl: Then maybe do some cooking for the freezer.. but not gonna be here till saturday probably now as staying in OHs tonight.. so have to see. Then oooo i dunno! Morning!

Work again today. ive noticed my posts are really boring when I have to go to work! I think boyf may have a job, we are just waiting for a phone call but we think that he may have it anyway (long story - his friend works there and has been asked for my boyf's number as they need someone so finger crossed). its the ideal job for him too.

Was very lazy and had a takeaway last night and then watched tv. Im hoping I get paid tomorrow as I want to go furniture shopping this weekend and im also going to sort out the loft and arrange the space to set uo my darkroom which will be very cool.

Anyway, must go - need to find the number of the hairdressers so i can give them a call from work and make an appointment! Ive also got to find a disk so I can be cheeky and do a budget at work then bring it home, and im looking for a magazine subscription I want.

Take care, have a lovely day!

A freezing frosty beautiful morning - if only i didnt have to go and get the ice off the windscreen and get to work : (

going to work today armed with a massive christmas shopping list - most of it has been done for immediate family but i need to buy for my neice and nephew, my BIL and a few other kids in the extended family.
Luckily i did a christmas club this year or with the way my finances are theyd all be going without!

repaired an old pair of wellies last night with a bicycle puncture repair kit - having read that idea somehwere on this forum - tested them out when i walked the dog a little earlier and no frost got in off the grass to wet my toes so i think it was a success.

the OH has come down with the lurgy - i am trying to have sympathy with him but all i can think is 'oh no will it be me next?' - lol - isnt that horrible of me.

now i am off for a browse on the web to see if i can find a new and original, but not too difficult, way to ice my christmas cake this year. Last year i iced it in pale blue, with a patch of white to represent an ice cap - put handmade marzipan penguins and a north pole sign on it. it was much admired. this year i fancy something more adult lol

johanne, i also wanted the sopranos dvds for christmas and found them way too expensive - although have you looked on ebay? they do come up a bit cheaper on there from time to time - especially the early seasons.

I have now taken them off my list and replaced them with ....drum roll.... a bread maker!! : )

anyway im waffling garbage so into the shower i go

    have a good day all

  • up and at work bright and early, already been here almost 50 mins

Not that i mind it means i can have a longer lunch break to drool over my wedding magazines. Im in full force of making a wedding file, and im going to try some dresses on tonight with my wonderful bridesmaid this afternoon to get an idea of what she will/wont wear but shes so ace im sure she will wear anything i ask her to :D

Treating her to some mini kievs and iceland pizzas for tea tonight as were both a bit strapped until payday which is monday or tuesday.

Informed that MIL would like me to make a starter for christmas dinner for 6 people this year (first year im going to MIL's for xmas lunch) so im going to start searching for recipes but i think its going to be a nice posh and classy... prawn cocktail with fresh baked brown bread. yummy!! Nice of her to ask.

OH is in charge of a quick swift tidy of living room inner hall and bathroom tonight so its super spick and span for bm2b (bridesmaid to be) to come round.

I even splashed out yesterday on a thank you card from me and OH to say thanks for being bm2b. Got her a hm candle and some cherry liquers. I was feeling generous and soppy.

Will post back later but im giving my poor finger a rest, its still heavily strapped up.

Didnt have a good night. Suppose to be having my INR levels done this morning but am going to call and see if it can be put off. Have got the gas fire on in lounge as im so cold.

1 washload already done and in TD as too cold and damp here to hang out. 1 more load to do after. DW emptied. House clean and tidy. OH continuing painting today, so hopefully all undercoating will be completed today :D Think Im just going to have a lazy day and try and get abit of sleep as I feel so shattered.

Had a bad session at pschotherapy yesterday so ended up going to Aldis (OH & I)after picking dd from school and stocked up on tin stuff that i wanted to get-just so i didnt have to go home :o

    Breakie:scrambelled egg/toast. Lunch-Jacket spud with cheese/coleslaw. Dinner-shepards pie & veg.

    Will catch up later.

    Morning all.

Not posted here for a week or so - I kind of fell off the wagon so to speak!
I have made no cakes, biscuits, bread at all for a week. And I am missing them!

MW is going strong and looking for over both airers in the shops - can I find one???

We had KFC yesterday - only cos we were in town for opticians appointments and it was 5.30 by the time we got out - the kids are normally fed by then, so they were getting grumpy.
Need new glasses, but at least I was the only one that needed them. Went for the cheapest frames that suited and I need anti-glare for night driving - still cost me £85 though. So my second pair I ordered from Glasses Direct last night online - £17.50 inc P&P. I see what they are like and use them again if they are any good.

HM Burgers for tea with wedges - they are out defrosting now and off to Tescos later for my Chocolate powder for the cake.

DD3 (3yo) is sat on the stairs waiting for the postman! I ordered some cheap Disney DVD's from Ebay - all she wants to watch is Cinderella and its driving me mad! So got shome cheap ones for variety!

DD1 (14yo) is complaining how cold it is. BUT she still wont wear her hat or big coat, cos she looks stupid in them. Shes now moaning cos she has a cold!!!

Hope everyone has a good day! And those with colds, put your feet up and a hot drink! (Except my DD1 whos off to school anyway!)
