Hmm, I'm stumped too. You're connected to it, but its not listening to the computer.
With the laptop again, can you find anything in the router page (192.168.2.1) that has mention of MAC filtering, or something like that?0 -

Thats an idea, what model is your router?
Sometimes routers can be set to allow only certian computers to connect and they look at a unique number on your network card.
To test this easily are you using USB wireless dongles, if you are simply take the one out of your laptop and plug it into the PC and see if when it connects to the router it works.

then again you probably wouldn't even get an address from the router if thats the case.
Just have a look at the settings in IE.
open up internet explorer and click on tools then internet options
Click on the connections tab and then LAN settings. and make sure all three check boxes are unticked. then ok and ok again to come out of that and give it a try.This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.
