I'm at work, so can't poke around on this computer to experiment with stuff as I could at home, but I think I can cope with that. Lets hope that's what it is
edit: Right, different gateway's. That'll be whats causing your problem!0 -
Right ok then.
Right click on "my network places" which is on the desktop.
Then choose properties.
you should have something called "local area connection" and the two "tellys" should be lit up.
Again right click and choose properties
in the screen that pops up in the middle box that says above it
"This connection uses the following items"
Scroll down till you get to the bottom on the item that says "internet protocol TCP/IP" left click and then left click the properties button.
There are two radio buttons, you want to set both to say
Obtain IP adress automatically
and
Obtain DNS server address automatically
Once done click ok andThis signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.
Fortunately, the offending comments have now been removed - my apologies to all who had to read it and laugh at my expense.0 -

Right, on the computer, in the system tray (Bottom right next to the clock) find the picture that looks like two computer monitors next to each other, and double click it. This should bring up the connection status, with status, duration, speed and packets. Click properties, then on the window that comes up, scroll down to one named 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)'. Select that, and click properties.
You should see a screen like this:
Is it set to do it all automatically? Or does it have numbers manually entered into the boxes? If there are numbers, make a note of what they are, and where they are, before setting both sets to do automatically, and see if that sorts it out.
Edit: Which is basically what cloister said, just slightly slower :rolleyes:0 -
