I am on a fixed deal until November with SP, would they let me switch to the new deal now?
We were the same .. I just changed the package online. Took ages but went through. Decided a fix until next August was probabaly worth paying a wee bit extra between now and November,

I'd guess yes but you may have to pay the cancellation fee. I was going to say give them a call but they appear to be swamped

Thanks for that, did you have to pay a cancellation fee? which of the four options is the best?

I'd say almost certain - it's still definitely available at least until the end of today. By the way, applying via QuidCo doesn't work for any tariff right now (at least for me) let alone the trick mentioned earlier to get the Fixed Price tariffs to show up - keeps telling my selected tariff is not available in my region and to please check my details :(

"Anybody know the cooling off period with SP?."

Yes, I think it is seven days after receiving the initial letter from them.

Just tried to cap my account with SP, and got the message about them 'processing a change to my payment details'.

Took over 30 minutes for the various windows to go through on their 'spenergy.co.uk' website.

Might have to try the phone route!

EDIT: Just read the post above - looks like too late!

Time to switch to one still offering a cap, or risk riding it out?

I had this problem initially yesterday. Try deleting browsing history and clearing your cookies.

BTW, the website is still showing the capped prices
