poppyoscar so sorry that things are going wrong again. Think you may have to weigh up the good times versus the bad times and if the bad times are in the majority then it may be time to call it a day. ((((hugs))))
jannyannie (((hugs))) to you too - it's awful when you feel so fragile that anything can set you off. Hope you feel better soon.
    catowen are you ok? :hello:
taplady that sounds like a good result to me. Bet you had a terrible shock when you opened the bill first though!
dubgirl hope you feel better soon.
Pippa S I think that's a great idea that your DS keeps your car on the road for you. :T

I know I have missed some people out and I do apologise but my brain is now mush.

I arrived at the office today to find that my boss had booked an IT trainer to come and do some supplementary training on the new database system we use. So, I lost two hours going over stuff that I pretty much knew anyway. Oh well, I can only do what I can do in the time given.

Have had a quick tidy round downstairs and it looks a bit more presentable but the pile of papers next to the fridge look as though they are reproducing so I must go through that before it takes over the whole worktop. Will do quite a bit of shredding later, methinks.

Got some heavily reduced squash and and sweet potatoes yesterday so will make up some soup later. That should sort out my lunches for the next few days. :T Then I will need to clean my cooker top as it is looking very grubby. :o

    Have a great afternoon. xx

They agreed it was their fault as they had set the meter on the wrong tarrif and knocked £220 off the bill and said I could pay the remainder off at £1 a week. They are also going to send me a new card which will automatically update the tarrif when needed so it cant happen again. Am quite pleased with the outcome:T ;)
Well done - was that before or after threatening to set me onto them  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :D

:rotfl: Ooops !!! Only posted earlier on the Tuesday thread.......................lol

    Hello all !
Very warm and ''sticky' kind of day. So hot last night I couldn't sleep and woke up with one of those ''heavy' heads.
Builder arrived all chirpy and whistling, as always...........so now we've another wall plastered and another to be done............not done today as he had to take his wife for hospital appointment. So, maybe next week ????? Then the front of the house gets painted and hopefully I can slosh somepaint on the walls of the room that once (well still does at the moment) resembled a building site !
Tried to talk to 'teenager with attitude' about once again not getting up for work. Will he ring his boss ? 'No point' says he and has gone off supposedly job hunting..........methinks he's definitely lost his job by now.
Younger lad has gone off for a day trip with the local youth club..........older one bit miffed he couldn't go but seems to forget he's out of the ''age range' and has been on these trips many times before when he was younger.
So, bit of a 'bitty' day when nothing seems to have been done except clear up plaster !!

Hope you have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o ))))))) to those who need them
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

    Afternoon all!

Late posting but finally got here!

Quickly before I forget, AnnieBL your poor daughter, that's exactly what happened to my hair not so long ago, if anyone remembers my whinging and whining lol! Decent hairdresser soon sorted it out, and straighteners were def needed.

And I think it was Squiggley who posted the fizzy toffee recipe, wow does it fizz! dd1 decided to make it, and suddenly I heard a lot of shouts for help, it was escaping the pan! Looks just like honeycomb though, so hopefully will be good. Thanks for the recipe!

Whizzed into town with dd2 this morning, to get her rollerblades or inline skates as I'm told they're now called! It's her birthday on Saturday so they are her pressie. Man in the shop couldn't have been any more helpful, he even gave her a lesson! Will be going back tomorrow to get some for dd3, she has some saved money and is now desperate for a pair, especially since her pals down the road were bought some by their gran for their birthdays recently.

Then my friend came round for lunch, just recommended him to some neighbours to do their garden whilst they are back in Australia, he's happy with the work and the fact he can cadge lunch when he does it, and they're happy to have someone they can trust, winners all round!

Will be pasta with cheese and bacon sauce for tea with french stick and salad. Saw some ready family meals in mr T's this morn when I popped in for ham with dd2, she fancied the pasta in sauce one, but I was beggared if i was going to pay the £6.50 for it - nearly passed out! I know the cost of pasta has gone up, but that really is overpricing!

Nothing much else to report, will be popping down the road to say goodbye to my friend and her family as they are back off to oz tonight, they still can't decide whether to come back here for good or to stay out there. I will miss her so much when she goes, it's been lovely having her home.

Then off to w**k tonight, sigh! Last one for this week though, yippee! Just as well as promised to make loads of tortillas and mexican stuff tomorrow, feeding the 5000 I think, well the kids mates, which is the same thing really.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day and I will have a go at catching up, but hugs to anyone in need. xx

    hello

well i have been os today and got down to the tidying mountain :D

I have ironed everything clean and on load of washing 5 at the moment :D I have a couple of cheap sainsbury's pilows that smelt bad so tried one in the wash - I followed the instructions ont eh pillow but it still ended up as a ball shape :D oh well - nothing lost really. I won't be trying it on the other one and definately not on the expensive ones

also changed the beds and had the hoover out. after that I moved onto sorting out paperwork -yuck. And now I have paper punches all over the floor and will have to hoover again!!! Never mind.

Seem to have done a lot but the house looks more of mess than when I started - hehehehe

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Anniestar :D
