floss2 so that's where all the sunshine has gone in Lancashire!! Could we have some over here in Preston please??:D .....

Well I would send you some, but a dirty great cloud is drifting along the M55 from the Preston direction....
....Ooh, that reminds me, Catowen I think you mentioned we must be around the same age. don't know what age you are but I will reach the grand old age of 44 next week.   And I'm having to work on my birthday too which should be illegal if you ask me. :D ......

Same as I was in March! I always try & book my birthday off work - I agree about the legalities of work on birthdays!!
  • Morning everyone

Day off today :j There's so much I want/need to do that I bet I don't do nearly half of it

Having my Sainsbury's delivery today, really pleased that last month we managed on only 2 shops for the month (normally it's a weekly shop) - so we saved about £140 :j Which promptly went on Sky+ HD - at the bartered down price of £75 + £30 installation :T

Going to get showered and dressed in a mo, before DH gets up and then start the WM and BM.

    Happy Birthday Anniestar

Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

AnnieBL - I agree about Mr Firth's singing abilities, but it was nice to rest my eyes upon him, and the fountain scene at the end - anyone have a "swoon" smilie  :happyhear

    Morning all
Welcome to the newbies & lurkers, hugs to Jayward, Crisca, PP & Kaat.
    Happy B'day Annie.
Kaat, my DD & my ex both suffer from sleep aponea (sp) it make for a very disturbed sleep pattern, which is hard for DD as her sleep is disturbed enough with the children.
BIL needed to talk last night so I was up until with him 2:30 & up again at 5:30 with hubby, methinks I might sneak upstairs for a snooze in a while.
One of the things we talked about was work, he loves his job & thinks it's the best in the world & asked me what my dream job would be. I told him, I'd love to be a character somewhere like Beamish, dress up in a costume & tell visitors about my 'life' for some reason he found this hysterical, still I made him laugh.
I have made no plans for today, as so far every day's plans have gone t*ts up.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Taplady – how ridiculous with the meter, hope you get it sorted. I thought that was the whole point of pre-payment too?
Whatatwit – another stroppy DD, come & join me and AnnieStar. Thank heavens for being able to rant on the OS daily about them – relieves some of the stress J
Mioliere, I love good old-fashioned letters J I think there’s nothing nicer (not those Xmas round-robin newsletter type of things, but a proper personal handwritten letter or short note).
JulieJim, have a good holiday (not sure when you’re off?!) I’m sure the odd socks will enjoy it….
PenPin, hope the head clears & you enjoy your Indian tonight.
AnnieStar, how exciting! I wonder what he’s up to…..
    Happy Birthday too :bdaycake:
Betheebee, where do you get your energy/motivation from?? Having just sorted out your rental house & now all this decorating?? I hate it with a passion – but then I also find I can’t do it because my shoulder/arm start aching within 5 mins; probably cos of all the typing I do the rest of the time L Hope your DD gets on ok with the dr too, always wise to get some proper advice just in case.
TiredMum, how considerate of your OH…. ;)
RedRuby, it’s not fair when kids are looking forward to something & then let down all the time L Hope you both enjoy your trip to the cinema instead when you go. Bognor seafront is closed off all weekend apparently for something called "Rocks" (?Rox) - all sorts of stuff going on (music/events) - you could both go along there? Am taking my DD's Sunday afternoon when I take them over to my sisters (counting down to a few days peace :) )
Hester, definitely get yourself a little snooze to catch up.

New DW arriving this morning, had to get kitchen fitter back yesterday to remove old one (as integrated) - well when I say old, I mean 4 months old.... I need to give him a call later & he will then come back & refit new one. And write snotty letter to the ExtraCare insurance lot who replace the machine under the warranty, but gave me wrong delivery dates & wasted my time, plus told me I had to pay again to have DW removed & refitted as that wasn't covered... (in a 4 month old kitchen, I think not!). Went to the MFI store instead & actually got sense out of someone who said of course it was covered - just not by ExtraCare, but by them.

Better get up & dressed as delivery times are 8am-1pm so need to get out of my nightie!!!

    Happy Birthday Anniestar :bdaycake:

Just trying to wake myself up with coffee, coffee and more coffee  I've managed to wash up and put some clothes in the sink to soak and it's worn me out  :D

I saw an ad on tv for the new series of CSI Miama - did I hear it right? H has a son?

Mr troo has decided to work at home today - *groan* lol. So he'll be in my way today :D I might disappear down the garden with a flask for a few hours :D

I'm waiting for my boss to realise that he doesn't actually need me at all. I've known for ages but I'm not telling him lol. I've money-saved his business to death :D but by getting rid of X expenses and cutting down on Y expenses I've managed to get rid of a lot of my work (I got so carried away with the moneysaving that I forgot about my actual job). I've saved him a fortune so my wages are justified IMO. I've worked out my holiday pay and redundancy pay just in case...........
