Thank you all for your thoughts for my friend yesterday, she needed them:o
HAPPY BIRTHDAY anniestar :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin :bdaycake: :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin
I havent read right through yet but will later,I am a bit  today,we went round to friends last night and OH managed to lose his car key, somewhere between their bungalow and the snooker club, we all walked the route they
took, but no joy. Goodness knows where it is,I did wonder if it had fallen off the fob when he got out of the car on our friends drive, but he said "NO I`VE LOOKED" oooOOooo mardy c*w....so that was me finished,I thought look for it yourself then!!!
So, after a sleepless night(him) he got his insurance policy out, (he actually found it without asking me where it was)and checked it PHEW sigh of relief, he is covered for loss or theft of keys.....as it is one of those funny looking things that looks nothing like a key at all good job he is covered, luckily he never locked the car as it was on friends drive.
Now the  mad bit....he has taken MY car(old banger really) and gone over to his mum`s with her shopping,he will do her housework while he is there too. So I have to wait to get it back to go over to my mum`s and do the same for her.
When I retired,I swore I would keep my old car for as long as I could afford to run and maintain it,and I am so glad I did, it means we can both do our own thing and not be in each others pockets all the time.
I am so lucky, DS2 has his own workshop, he keeps it on the road for me. I just pay for tax,Ins and any bits he has to buy in, he gets it all ready for the Mot for me as well, he and DIL have paid for Mot sometimes for me as a birthday or christmas pressy, they are very good, odd present I know but O so useful.
Well time for a cuppa I think and a read through, yesterday and today.
Back later
Anne

Good morning everyone.I've just been reading yesterdays thread from where I left off,and this mornings so far,and I'm just amazed at the welcome-thank you so much.I send my good wishes to all those who are feeling poorly, have lost a loved one or generally down in the dumps.
Happy Birthday Anniestar !
I'm just drying off,got drenched when I was out with the dog.Looks like its set in for the day.I was going to go out this morning, stayed at homefor 2 days and felt like a trip, but I'll not bother now.Still that means I won't spend any
money.I can't help but think of my younger DB & OH who are camping near the Lake District with my 4 year old niece.I can well remember me and DH camping on the side of a hill years and years ago (the only pitch left),& becoming aware of a stream running through our tent at 4am.We ended up sleeping in the car, then packing up for home the day after.I'm sure tents are much better these days, integrated ground sheets and all that- hope so anyway.
Seems like a few of us have the snoring OH problem, thank goodness we've got a spare room now,and he heads in there automatically when he's been out for a beer( or 2  ) on Thursdays.
Off to make some bread rolls now ,yesterday I made some Melting moments from the Be-ro book ,and some Twinks hobnobs (Thank you Twink).
Hope everyone has a good day. X:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
 just spent another 20 mins waiting on the bl**dy JSA helpline trying to get someone to tell me whats happening to my claim.
I got through and now have to wait for someone to investigate and call me back.
Dazi - the jobcentre website is a pain for showing old jobs. I get fed-up of using it.PinkPunkBird

 Morning Chums
and Happy Birthday to Anniestar, hope you get lots of nice prezzies.
Had a lovely day yesterday went to see my eldest DD's Ma & Pa-in-law in Barnehurst, and we managed to connect via the internet to Florida and spoke and saw online my DD and family .They are having a smashing time out there although a few spectacular thunderstorms. She was so pleased about the news from the oncologist and she just couldn't stop grinning .:j
Today my youngest DD is coming to lunch as she is working at her other job as an estate agent ,very quiet there though, so I don't know how much longer before she loses that one . Normal sales are about 10-14 a week they have only had two in the past month
Thing look like they will be getting tougher on the money markets.
She also works as a tour guide at Chatham Dockyard, and it's the height of the season at the moment so she is helping to cover holiday leave. She does 'Ghostwalks' there in the winter time.
This afternoon I will relieve my son-in-law, and take the youngest four boys to the country park to run off some steam
He luckily can work from home on the days my DD works.
Weather here is still warm but cloudy at the moment
My hair has started growing back in and its coming through quite white in places, and dark in other patches I look a bit like a zebra  but at least I haven't got the shiny head look anymore It looks like a very short two-toned brush head :rotfl:
My DD said its my badger look. I have always had fair hair and it seems so strange seeing dark bits.Still I'm not too bothered at least its growing I also have eyelashes as well now but they are not dark but very light brown , Darn it I was hoping they would be dark and save me a fortune in mascara
Well <<hugs to all in need >>>and a big daftto the rest of you
have a good day everyone

Hi Candygirl,
I'm afraid that your post was deleted by the forum team because of the flashing image.
