Morning all
Not caught up with yesterday's thread properly but hugs to CHRISCA, KAAT, JAYWARD, PENPIN, SMOKEY AND CANDYGIRLS DAD. Sorry if I've missed anyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNISTAR, GLAD YOU ARE BACK.
WELCOME NEW PEEPS
It's boiling here again. Had counselling yesterday and it just brought up all sorts of things that made me cry. Felt quite fragile for the rest of the day. Took Ds to see Walle yesterday, what a sweet film. DS really enjoyed it and I can't believe it kept his attention with virtually no talking in it.
Have been for a run today, OH also snored most of the night as well, he's got Breathe Right strips, he just doesn't wear them  .
Not sure about today OS wise, will go to the allotment in a bit, OH wants to go out and eat. At least I've been for a run. Not sure if the fireworks are on over the sea tonight. Shall phone council in a mo.
Have a lovely day all.

Hi again! I'm back having been determined to do my office work before anything else. I'm feeling quite heroic at the things I have achieved with HMRC's b****y contractors' paperwork this morning and, yet again, I have been cursing DH in his absence for being self-employed. My life would be so much easier without all this hassle. Anyway, fax machine has been verbally abused and decided to give in and get its a**e in gear so that's sorted.
(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Jayward, Beth and her DB's, Candygirl's Dad, Essex-girl's Dad, Chrisca, Mrs Mix and her dog, Poppyoscar and Dubgirl - hope the day gets better for you all.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
Welcome to Floss 2! Good to meet you.
Well, I have put the ironing board up just like I did yesterday where it got in the way for most of the day then got folded up again having not been used. I must get it all done today because I am determined to devote all day tomorrow (well, apart from coming on here!) to getting the wedding favours finished. At the weekend we need to clean my car - properly - because it's taking the bridesmaids to the church. It's an old but lovely silver BMW 523i (I can't believe I just had to go and check if it was 520 or 523 and I've had it for years! Shows how often I look at the back of it!) It will look lovely decked out with ribbons and flowers; it was specially requested by the bride. I so wish I could find a chauffeur's hat for DH! Mind you, he's so tall he'd never get in the driving seat. I am praying now that I don't prang it before the big day! That's just the sort of thing I'd do! Years ago I dented a car that we had for sale the day someone had arranged to come and look at it - he still bought it but we had to knock the price right down. I also fell on a record player we had for sale, right in front of the potential buyer who had just got his cash out, and cracked open the perspex top. We lost that sale!
Anyway, the bride is going to church in her father's lovingly restored Triumph Something-or-Other which is in the most fantastic condition after years spent on it.
Jannyannie - my DH has to wear his snore strips because I've told him I'm not poking him back into life when he stops breathing any more. I've spent many sleepness nights worrying because he holds his breath for ages and then almost explodes when he gets going again!
Well, I've truly mioliered today so I should get on with the ironing while I watch another Werner Herzog film that I have been saving. As his films are subtitled it takes ages because I only iron in the bits with no conversation going on!
See you later. It's still really lovely here and not too warm.

Morning all,
poppyoscar, Sorry to hear things aren't getting better for you.
dubgirl, I hope you feel better soon.
Pippa, I'm glad the car keys are covered by the insurance. They can be very expensive to replace.
RosyRed, Welcome!
JackieO, I'm glad you enjoyed your day.
Anniestar, Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day. :bdaycake:
It's a horrible morning here.....it's pouring down and I'm desperate to get into the garden to try to undo some of the dammage dd did to the plants. I unearthed the old vacuum cleaner from the garage last night (I knew there was a good reason for me hoarding things) so finally got the house vacuumed and so far no fleas have been spotted today. :j
The cupboards are bare so I need to do some food shopping today and ds2 is off to a birthday party later so I need to pick up a present too. I was sure I had some little boys presents left in the present box but I must have used them all up.Either that or I've put them somewhere so safe that I can't find them. Tea tonight will be a chicken curry so I need to go and get started on that. Catch you all later.

Raining here earlier this am, but sun is out now, still windy and not too settled.
Spoke to Shez last night and she and her family are probably coming here to-morrow for lunch, we are to confirm to-night..think the holiday is going well.
Does anybody know how to get cats from mainland Europe without taking them in your own car...DS1 has been told that Aer Lingus, most direct airline between Amsterdam and Dublin, does not take pets...they are dreading the thought of their two as they complain non-stop when in the car and it is too long a journey to sedate them. Any information gratefully received!
I could probably have been jailed for GBH when all the children were at home and we didn't have a spare room, as my only defence was to kick OH harder and harder until he turned on his side and stopped snoring!
Having to tidy up a bit in preparation for to-morrow's visitors, have told them to expect a tip...but people never believe you, do they??
Have a good day all

' I'm going to get on the phone then to the leccy company about the bill '
you go girl and give 'em what for
cas x
They agreed it was their fault as they had set the meter on the wrong tarrif and knocked £220 off the bill and said I could pay the remainder off at £1 a week. They are also going to send me a new card which will automatically update the tarrif when needed so it cant happen again. Am quite pleased with the outcome:TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi everyone:hello:
Happy Birthday ANNIESTAR.
Another sunny day; managed to put the WM on this morning, washing is all now merrily blowing in the breeze.
Can't believe we're over half-way through Molly Dog's stay with us. I shall miss her when she goes home on Sunday.
Took her to the pub last night - we'd promised we'd go, as the waitress who does Tuesday nights wanted to see Molly. Also managed to [STRIKE]con[/STRIKE]persuade the landlord to sponsor a barrel of beer for the Milton Keynes beer festival in October.
Don't have the slightest idea what to do for dins tonight - Mr LW is bound to ring me shortly, so perhaps I'll ask him if there's anything he fancies. To eat, that is.:rotfl:
Have a good day all, and I hope those who've been feeling poorly are somewhat better by now.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
