Not looking very promising here today, but I suppose we can't complain, the weather lasted a lot longer thatn the forecasters said it would

Work today, so beef casserole in the slow cooker for DH, Not sure what I'll have yet, perhaps some leftover curry out of the freezer.

Lovely day yesterday with DGD, but she has so much energy, I was shattered last night

Off to walk the dog, so will catch up later x

Morning all, Just read y/days long posts, took ages so will mention those going through difficult times,
JAYWARD, M.MIX, PINK, ESSEX, PIPPA S, PENPIN, CHRISCA, ANNIE S.
HUGS SMOKIE, hope your ok. Sorry if I left anyone out.

I'm determined to decorate every room before Xmas, have done 2 bedrooms and 1 sitting room. will start on 3rd bedroom today now that it is cooler although the stone walls are a foot thick it does tend to stay the same temp.
Will go to B&Q today, DH gets 10% off and there is a sale on some paint, also need to get floor tiles for utility room. will look out for reduced plants for the garden.
Have to walk DD2's labs and make meals for DD2 and OH. She rang last night to say 1 of the LO's she cares for ( DD2 is a Nanny) has German Measles, I told her to contact the DR. as she is 2mths pregnant. Am very worried even though she has had it there is still a risk.

Will cook cheese stuffed chick breasts, YS, wrapped in bacon with roast veg, BM and WM on. Off to sort out rollers and brushes.

Pen-Pin hope you are well enough to enjoy your plans with DH later. Rest as much as you can today - easier said than done when your DSis is moving but you know what I mean.

Surprisingly I managed to have quite a good night's sleep considering it is still so humid here. We are due some rain this morning then its supposed to clear so at least I will get the pile of washing that I have just found in DS's room done when I come home from w**k.:rolleyes:

The phone will be busy in the office today, I just know it. I sent out 23 letters on Monday and most of them were asking people to confirm information or make appointments so I know what my day will be like. Ah well, better to be too busy than too quiet.

I hope the air clears soon as I feel so lethargic when its like this and that's not good for the housekeeping. I did manage to get some shopping done yesterday though so at least I can get some batch cooking done and get the f/f cleaned out while I'm at it.

Well, I'm going to climb on the exercise bike for a wee while before I have my tea and toast. Have a wonderful Wednesday one and all. xx

the sun is shining already so another hot day to come, no playscheme today for me though thank goodness, made my blackcurrant jelly last night so it has set nicely this morning, redcurrants to pick now though have only one bush

Good morning everyone before & after.....

Thanks for all your welcoming messages - it's lovely to feel so wanted!

Work today - I'm in the middle of moving office from 1 mile from home / town centre to 3 miles the other way (but next to Mr T's / Matalan / Next....... hmmm, relative merits of town centre shopping against Mr T's YS bargains & Friday after work? )

Anyway, DF is away until tomorrow, so nothing exciting going on tonight.....:( Will be a selection of Mr T's bargain fruit for lunch (trying to lose a bit of weight before we go away at end of August :rolleyes:) then cold chicken & potato salad for tea after the exertions of packing my boss's office & my own up......at least the heavy stuff is being shifted for us, along with the IT equipment (what's the betting none of that works on Monday when we've moved over?)

Hope everyone has a good day - sun starting to crack the flags up here on the Lancashire coast, better than the spectacular thunderstorms & torrential rain of yesterday!

betheebee that's good advice you have given your DD. I hope she is ok. Good luck with the decorating today. I'm hoping that my DS will help me decorate my staircase over the holidays. It is *very* high and I'm a wuss when it comes to heights. DS is 6' tall and has offered to help his old mum out.

Ooh, that reminds me, Catowen I think you mentioned we must be around the same age. don't know what age you are but I will reach the grand old age of 44 next week. :eek: :eek: :eek: And I'm having to work on my birthday too which should be illegal if you ask me.

Still haven't got on the exercise bike yet. I'm off.

The weather is pleasent here for which I am gratefull as i am going to visit OH and the 3 kids at Essex Jamboree today last time was a 2 hour queue to get in on open day:eek: so am pleased with the weather as it is in a farmers field with thousands of people from over 30 countries so will be leaving in a bit as 2 hour drive to get there and Oh asked me to bring an empty bag to take home the dirty washing so i could get a head start( I love the way he always thinks of me).

Morning all,

Another beautiful day here, off to w**k, though. OH went to bed at 8.30 last night with a headache, and when I went up later I nearly throttled him, because of the noises he makes in his sleep, snoring, and bizzarly swallowing about 20 times in a row so not had a good sleep, never mind will make up for it tonight.

Tacos for tea tonight which are nice and easy, dd is home alone again today, which is saving me a fortune in petrol, dd was supposed to be going to the pictures today with my sister, but as ever, sis has let her down, and now cant go, :mad: she has always done this with me and now dd, she does not realise that if dd keeps getting rejected then she will give up, dd and I will go next week.
