I signed up for the SIMplicity £10 a month and then phoned o2 retentions this morning - I told them I'd heard lots of people had been offered a refurbished 32gb 3GS for free on £35 18 month contract. The guy checked and said I was eligible for that, but they are out of stock of all the refurbished 3GS iphones (16gb & 32gb). He said he thought they might get some back in stock next week. Might try them again later today though as I phoned pretty early today, but if anyone hears of them being back in stock, let me know!
That's weird, I spoke to retentions this morning too. They had both colours of the 32GB in stock, but they wouldn't give it to me for less than £179 on an 18 month and £96 on a 24 month. I'm going to try again on Monday, because I don't really want to pay anything for the handset.
Do let me know how you get on :beer:0 -
It really depends on just how much you will need to access data when out of range of a WiFi signal and whether the additional speed of 3G is worth to you the huge additional cost of a 3G iPhone contract.0

Just phoned them back and got a woman who told me that you have to have been a pay monthly customer for 11 months for the deal I was offered this morning! They have the 32gb black in stock. She wouldn't budge on this issue or offer me any upgrade despite the fact the guy this morning had said he would put a note on their system saying the deal I had been offered. Really frustrating because had they been in stock this morning when I called, the guy would have given it me. May be a case of ringing several times and hopefully getting the right person, but am concerned if in case they make a call record each time.0

I'm interested in a Pay Monthly iPhone from Tesco Mobile, but their online store doesn't seem to offer this, only the PAYG iPhone from Tesco Direct.
Are the Pay Monthly deals only available in-store?
Also how's the availability of Pay Monthly iPhone 3GS (16 & 32GB) these days with Tesco?0 -
Does anyone have any experience with getting an iPhone from phones4u? I got a 30day contract sim in store at end of august, they said if I decide to upgrade to a contract including a phone at a later date then I can, and they won't do another credit check on me.
I could afford 35 a month (phone contract is my xmas present once i've chosen one) but thing is I hardly make any calls so don't need all those minutes, but 500 texts isn't enough for what I use (I thought it would be, but having looked at my online bill today I sent 530 in the past month and thats with not texting very often). Any ideas? I wonder if I could ask to have the minutes cut right down, and have unlimited texts instead?£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit) - £588
