hi millie
I think you should be able to use your internet bundle no problem on the nexus, check what the current tariffs are matched to them on o2 or orange...
That's a good deal you got with the iphone, a lot of people arent even getting that offer now... :cool:0 -
A dedicated iPhone tariff will not include data when used in another phone. An unlimited web bolt-on from O2 will work in an iPhone if you use the correct apn settings.0

not quite, the announced US price for the Nexus One equates to around £330, but that isn't the UK price.
from the Google Store"Starting in 2010, the United Kingdom will apply a 17.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) on the on the total cost of your order, including all shipping costs and insurance. A 6.5% duty may apply to some items in your order."
The UK price will actually be:
Phone @ $529 + $30 shipping = $559 = £349.50
VAT @ 17.5% = £61.16
Import Duty @ 6.5% = £22.71
Total = £433.37
If and when there is actual UK stock, the likely sim free price will be £450, as the above price doesn't include a UK style charger which Google want $20 for.====0 -
Refurbished 32GB 3GS still in stock in black and white. And the Retentions department is open again after the bad weather, although there are delays due to staff shortages.
But, try as I might, I could not get the free handset on £35/month x 18month deal.
Instead I was offered the handset for £179 on an 18 month contract with a £6/month reduction on the tariff, bringing it down to £29/month
OR the handset for £96.86 on a 24 month contract with a £6/month reduction, again bringing it down to £29/month.
Did not really want to take a 24 month contract, but worked out this is effectively £33.03/month including the cost of the handset, versus £38.94 per month on the 18 month contract, so I decided to go for the 24 month.
I know I'll probably want the new iPhones / Google phones etc before then, but I'm happy with the deal... for now!:o0 -
Well after 4 arguments with 02 I finally got what I wanted, plus more!
FREE brand new 32gb 3gs
18 month contract
£35 per month - 600 mins 500 texts
I'm happy0 -
How did you maange that, what did you say?!
I basically said that I know loads of other people who have the same deal but with a refurbished iphone. I also stated that their customer service with me has been shocking (which it has been). The lady I spoke to then went and spoke to her manager, then came back offered me the deal stated in my earlier post.0 -
I'm trying to add up the cost of the Tesco offerings.
Tesco Direct:
£538 PAYG, but then need to factor in the monthly cost of calls/texts. Possibly £8 pm (low user). 3% Quidco (~£14 I think) and 1076 Clubcard points. (£10/40*?) So over 12 months that's £610/580*
*If calculating value as using 4x reward tokens.
Or, from an in-store Tesco Phone Shop:
£407 up-front, then 12 months at £20. Total, £647. But that includes £60 worth of calls/texts per month. With 5 numbers half-price, that's a potential 600 minutes per month. (Is that how it works? Or is it £60 of calls/texts for the year?!)
No Quidco though and I'm not sure on the Clubcard Points for the latter. Edit: I've just read this: 'Excludes mobile phone airtime, mobile phone contracts, Tesco Broadband, Tesco Homephone, Tesco Internet Phone airtime, Talk Wi-fi airtime, Green points, Tesco Calais, fuel and petrol filling station purchases.' Suggests no double points for a mobile phone bought in store (despite it being double points online).
I'm also unsure as to how many points I'd get for using my Amex credit card for either purchase. They say 3 points per £1 in supermarkets, but I don't know if either of the above qualify.
Does my maths look right?0 -
I signed up for the SIMplicity £10 a month and then phoned o2 retentions this morning - I told them I'd heard lots of people had been offered a refurbished 32gb 3GS for free on £35 18 month contract. The guy checked and said I was eligible for that, but they are out of stock of all the refurbished 3GS iphones (16gb & 32gb). He said he thought they might get some back in stock next week. Might try them again later today though as I phoned pretty early today, but if anyone hears of them being back in stock, let me know!0
