I was there when girl offered her a package deal we accepted, I left the shop to go elsewhere my daughter had to go to the bank for proof. When she came back the girl told her the package had changed, she lost lots of minutes, free internet and 100s of txts but still charged same price. I wasn't there and this was her first contract so she didn't know she could refuse, now she's stuck for 24mths.
I was told it would save me money on my o2 bill and the girl, love her, went through a lot of effort telling me how much overseas calls would cost as I am out of the country a lot.
She was very convincing.
I bought the phone in my naive hurry to get this particular handset (which Mazooma recently gave me 50.00 for).
Anyway, it turned out that over the course of an 18 month contract I was going to be about 250.00 out of pocket because the tarriff I'd been signed up to was more pricey for, well, everything.
CPW sent me a cheque - with little effort on my part other than the one letter - for 200.00.
I'd NEVER use them again - they're the used car salesmen of the mobile world, but I was impressed with this aspect of their service.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Not done my maths but the 12 month contract will be sure to increase contract numbers to Tesco Mobile. Hopefully this means a bigger uptake for the Iphone and lower prices

Quoted from tesco website, why offer a free 8gig iPhone and free 16gig iPhone 3GS on 24 months?!
Anyone in their right mind would choose the 3GS over the 3G unless I am reading it wrong?!0 -
I just upgraded today to an iPhone with Orange (outside end of contract). I currently have Orange Loyalty Line Rental Discount of 20%, whilst they would not increase it to the max amount of 25% by renewing my contract this time, they did let me apply the current discount to the iPhone tariffs. Nice one!
I knew that there was a mad reason why I kept renewing my contract with Orange all these years!!
Hope this is useful info.0 -
Is there any deals or vouchers that will make buying the iPhone cheaper on PAYG?
There are always deals with the groceries n what not....0 -
My credit rating is terrible - is it possible, to buy the phone outright and if so where is the best deal? Would these be PAYG? If not, is there some kind of contract you can get which doesn't credit check you? just went to buy it myself now, yes its gone. a few days ago it was there, its been there awhile. only looks like a £20 saving now, compared to £100 few days ago. sigh. ive emailed quidco to confirm situation.
now im thinking of sticking with pay go.
£20 per month is still good, but when they teased us with £100 cashback, it doesnt feel good anymore.0
