right, my 3 contract ends in jan2010.
3 have told me if i want to termintate and get pac code, i need to phone them or write to them by dec 4th to request pac.
i really really do not understand 02 pay go options and even their support didnt help, they answered half a question and then ignored me.
i think im gonna go for simpicity sim.
In what order shall i do this?
shall i buy a pay go iphone? use pay go for a bit to test it out, see how much i spend etc.
And THEN if i want simplicity, then buy that sim.
I definately want to PAC my current number from 3.
So could i start using the NEW pay go iphone number/sim initially, PAC the current number over, and then PAC it over again to simplictiy?
(thanks for any help

Only you can answer that question. Do you spend more than £10-£15 on PAYG at the moment? Would a simplicity contract with the 800 or so mins work out better for you? If yes, then get the simplicity. If no, then stick to PAYG.
A lot of people, including me, have a Simplicity sim in a PAYG Iphone for the simple reason that (a) i like the minutesand (b) i'm not tied to any contract.
I believe , that you can give a PAC code to O2 any time you like, at least if you are on a PAYG tarriff. Just dont register the sim to your name, until you are ready to port the PAC code then call them up.
The disadvantage of doing it the way you want to do it (i.e. 'play' a bit on PAYG then move to simplicity) is that you wont get the £100 cashback on quidco as O2 dont strictly do PAC codes from PAYG -> simplicity as its on the same network. You simmply call them up saying you want to move from PAYG to Simplicity.0 -
Can somebody advise me please I am due an upgrade with Orange in december my contract runs out in March, the woman said Im best buying out my contract for £80 and then going for the I phone with them, basically she has said for one of £88 would get I phone 3GS16GB 500mins unlimited text and internet for £41 a month but its for 24month contract, so basically id pay £160 and then £40 amonth for 24 months.
Im not sure what works best as If I paid the £80 to buy contract and went to O2 then I would have topay a one offpayment for the phone to them and they dont offer unlimited texts only the bolt on to make it to 1000 texts, I use my phone for texts more than phone so the texts are important to me.
I just want tosm eadvice or best deals please Im thinking if joined O2 I would save neatrly £250 as would only be an 18 month contract, thankyou for the advice in advance0 -

thankyou.
i currently have £25 per month contract on 3.
Simplicity sounds the best to me, for same reasons as you.
dont register pay go before PAC porting? why not?
i think i have to register to use pay go and register for 12months wi fi feature.
youre last point. I dont understand.
I buy iphone from quido = cash back.
i buy simplicity from quidco = cash back.
i can do these two transactions at diff times/dates.
Isnt the simplicity SIM a physical diff sim, compared to pay go sim?
shall i just hurry up and place the orders now, before the xmas rush?0 -
I was just wondering if anyone had put in any research to find the cheapest iphone 3gs to buy outright?
Ive looked on the apple uk and usa sites and the iphone over there seems to be a hell of a lot cheaper than it is over here. Is it therefore possible to buy an american iphone and have it adapted to work here?
cheapest uk price i can find seems to be ebay, however i wouldnt really like to spend that sort of money on there, id prefer a shop if possible?
Many thanks,

Can you still get £100 cashback on the Simplicity plan?
Looks like I can get 600m/1200txt & unltd web for 19.50 a month. If I could get £100 cb on this it would make it a cracking deal0 -

Looks like you only get £100 cash back on the 12 month contracts.. however by taking a 12 month plan you get 33% extra free... therefore you'd get:
800m/1600txt for £19.58.
Over 12 months you pay: £243.96
Minus £100 cash back... thats £11.25 per month! Nice..
Forgot to mention.. thats with unlimited web access as well!!0 -
I work for a company that offers employees 30% discount on tariffs with O2 excluding of course the iphone, but as luck would have it and my contract is coming to an end from 1 Dec all monthly contracts including the 3GS get £75 cash back! plus it can extend to 5 family and friends:j0

Does anybody still know if it is possible to downgrade the price plan after 9 months??
If so it is better value to get the 16gb on an 18 month contract for 45 quid a month?? then downgrade after 9.
I deffo want the 16gb model and would rather have the 18 month contract but noway would i pay £180 initial cost for the phone.
Is this the most reasonable way and is it still possible?0
