I want 2 iphones, 1 for me, 1 for my wife. We cant get a contract from o2, looking at buying 2 PAYG but looks like it will rush me about £700! Does anybody know a cheap way round this-i.e, any sites that guarantee acceptance on a contract?
I'd buy 2 used iphones off ebay and then try this

am i right to say the only obvious difference between the orange vs O2 packages are the preferences of provider Orange recently merging with t-mobile now owning the biggest market share in the uk of 37% i believe, signals going to be greater over O2 and i know orange hold the best 3g coverage in the uk.
BUTTTT orange have a 75mb download usage on web browsing while as far as im aware O2 do not cap theres?0 -

I have spoken to o2 and they do not cap their internet nor the wifi on contract and pag but orange cap contract to 750 mb internet and 1 gb wifi and on pag 250 mb internet and 750 mb wifi0 -
I'm due an upgrade with O2 next month, and seriously thinking about getting the iPhone 3GS.
Is O2 the best network for it, or is it worth waiting for Vodafone?
I know Orange have it now, but the caps on wi-fi and browsing have put me off. Plus they were a bit rubbish customer service wise last time I was with them.
Been with O2 for ages and not had any real issues so tempted to just stick with them.
I guess Vodafone's tarriffs will be much the same as O2 and Orange?0 -

Between o2 and orange stick with o2 as the iphone main function is internet. why go with a provider that capps the internet0 -

Thanks. Yes, I've already decided against Orange - it is a bit of a crazy idea capping usage, and as I said, had some very bad customer service experiences with them in the past.
I was really just just wondering if anyone had any idea if it's worth waiting to see what Vodafone's contracts look like before I upgrade with O2?0 -

cant see if there will be for new customers. might be for existing customers but as apple have tied the hands of operators i wud think prices will not be much different0 -
why Orange PAYG iPhones are more expensive then O2 iPhones from apple website?0

I think prices will come down next year.
What Orange are doing here is trying to capture premium clients who did not want to get an iphone because they did not like O2. Then they will reduce their prices to appeal to other clients.
I think the gloves will come off next year when Vodafone enters the market.0
