Cheapest iPhone discussion

Hi, I have a dilema!! My O2 contract is just expiring and they are offering me nothing exciting to stay with them. I asked for my PAC code and the only thing that they were willing to offer me was:

Free iphone 3G, dunno what GB, refurb with 12 month warranty, 500mins, 600texts, unlimited internet, 18 month contract - £35pm

I wasn't exactly excited so I asked for my code and put the phone down. I looked around and fancied the HTC Hero as I think it is the closest rival to the iphone. I found the following deal

What do people think I should go for?

I'd move to 30 day sim only until Orange and Vodafone announce their iPhone prices, in fact I have done. I love my Nokia 5800 but have this strange desire for an iPhone. Maybe that'll change when I see the prices.

Hi all. Quick question. OH currently has an iphone and is looking to upgrade to a newer version. If he gives me his phone can I just get an o2 contract sim card and use it? If so which one? Is there a cheapish option? Ta LC.

I have just had a response from Orange after i registered my interest

Its very vague and non specific

The woman in retentions said they would have it by now when I phoned them 2 ish weeks ago

Has anyone else heard anything?

Anyone in Orange that knows is under none discloser agreements. I work in a finance dept and no one I know, knows...
