Is there any cheap iPhone?0

Right Few Questions...
Been with Orange for 8 years contract runs out november on n85, however can upgrade on 18th of july.
Now im wanting the best / cheapest deal with 1gb data if not more, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck trying to quit with orange and then saying well if you give me a 500mb bolt on for nothing, along with my "loyalty bonus" hopefully get it down to £30 / £35 a month for 600mins unlimited texts then the 1250mb of data, with phone at £119. Anyone think this is possible???
Also with the 12months sim only contracts, what happens at the end of this 12months? Can you only be on PAYG, or after the 12months can you get cheap contract with a provider or won't they because it isnt "their phone" as such.
Any help on any of the issues above please help.
I got a 12 month iPhone Simplicity on O2 last week. As far as I know, once my 12 months is up, they will put me on a 30-day rolling iPhone contract until I decide what to do. You then get the standard upgrade options for existing customers.0 -
As a result of the ending of many of the unlimited data usage deals I am trying to calculate my current data usage.
This is to see whether I am normally within the standard limits on many of the new contracts.
Does anyone know how Tesco Mobile show the data usage in MB on their bills?0 -

I can't comment on Tesco bills but you can see how much data you've used on your phone since the last time you reset it. (Which, like me, is probably never. Am I right? As you wouldn't have asked your question if you knew this answer).

In 18 months I've sent 258MB and received 1.3GB in total. I think I'll be fine with 1MB per month... I think I'd almost be fine with 1MB per year...0 -

I've just checked this with Quidco and they confirmed:-
"It will only apply to a brand new sim only contract for iphones, and not a renewal of a lapsing contract for an existing Vodafone customer"
.... so I'd take that as a YES.0 -
I'm with 02 and now out of contract. I wanted the iphone 4 but I think they're too dear.
I've even enquired about the 32gb 3gs reconditioned ones, but they've never got any in stock. I think I'm getting fobbed off.
What's the score if you request your pac code? Does this mean you definitely leave 02 and therefore can't stay with them?
O2 are just not @rsed any more about keeping hold of existing customers, so if there are no deals to keep me - I'm off!

As mentioned above I had a L-O-N-G chat with O2 regarding upgrades, etc. They don't have any deals on the iPhone4 for existing customers - NOTHING. I went through upgrades and then asked for a PAC code. Retentions are aware of the problem and there's nothing they can offer. If you're after a 3GS however you should be able to get a deal.
If you then choose to use the PAC code your number will transfer otherwise you'll stay with O2. Its a good tactic to use if you're determined.0 -

Presumably you mean 1GB? And I am worried about this limit. The problem for me is not the amount of data itself, but rather the very fact there is a limit and the need to now constantly monitor usage. Although in normal circumstances I probably won't use a lot of data (as I use my iPhone mostly through Wi-Fi), when out and about, it can be very easy to eat up your MB almost without trying. Watch a few videos on YouTube while out with friends at the pub, or download a couple of apps at work, and you can be approaching a significant chunk of your MBs for just a few minutes use.
Of course, I can see why the providers imposed this limit, but it is potentially a very costly limit for even casual users. Does anyone know if, when you're approaching your monthly limit, you get any reminder or warning from your network provider? And are there any apps to help monitor it for you?0 -
Thanks Max
I've got an N95 and I'm fed up with it now, well outdated in comparison to the new smart phones.
I've just spoken to them and still no re-boxed ones in - there's a surprise!
Can anyone advise what the difference is between the cap on data from O2 & vodafone?
Retentions just told me Vodafone is 1gb data but it is not unlimited wifi, unlike 02, but their cap is 500mb.
Never having had an iphone, I've no idea which would be better - any help please??0
