8GB 3GS was introduced when they introduced the iPhone 4, Apple's not so subtle way of getting people who want a decent storage capacity pay the extra for the iP4.

Wow, in that case WHY would you pay the same for an 8Gb instead of a 32Gb just because it's black!

I'm pretty sure that's a typo on three's behalf, as they never made an 8gb 3gs iphone i dont think. If you check, I bet you have the 16/32gb.

Nope mine is defo 8GB. It is the latest 3GS model released on same day as the iPhone 4. Shows up as having 7GB available on iTunes.

Confirmation it exists below on the Apple online store

I've been with 02 for years and didn't have a clue about this! I once tried to connect to BT Openzone and it asked for a password; could anyone tell me how to get round this please??? And thanks a million for the info...

It should just ask you for your mobile number. If that doesn't work, try sending "WiFi" on a text to 2121. According to the O2 website, you should get a text back confirming everything is enabled within 30 minutes.

if you buy direct from apple they are factory unlocked and you can buy the cutter from amazon. should work but best to ask them just in case.

    where does it say that??

As an example - Apple Store via Quidco - Bottom left hand corner:

No cashback is presently available on iPad, iPod nano, iPod classic and iPod shuffle purchases.
Apple are paying cashback on the iPhone 3GS but not on the iPhone 4.
