you are in new contract and its like only 3 months old, and if i remember correctly then you can't change your deal at when it is 6 months old.so if they can upgrade to iphon4 after 6 months for you then you are lucky.1st because you will have enough time to check all pros and cons on the iphone4 and 2nd you can come to a new contract and presumably the price would have gone down by that time. so the bottom line is be patient.that what i am doing.but 1st do call your network customer centre to confirm what their policies are,and also i heard on 15 july Motorola is launching its new phone, and its called iphone killer.so you will have time to see that as well.bottom line "wait"..............

Can you post on how you get on, my orange contract ends in dec but thinking about changing to vodafone but if orange could match vodafone i'd probably stay with them, i knw i'll have to pay for phone but been saving and if i could get it earlier it would be great

From previous posts you may know my predicament... end or contract CPWhouse customer with 02 seeking cheap-as-chips-iphone. After much talking to sales and loyalty teams it would appear that reconditioned 3GS phones are no more - or at least out of stock for last few wks :(. I tried every trick in the bag and still was given the same answer, either take a reconditioned 3G or new 3GS .

The price difference between 3GS and 4G was so little I ordered via Vodaphone 6:05 on Wednesday morn, still didnt get sent out in fist batch! Werent taking preorder but i bet most reserved for exiting customers ;)

Luckily CPWhouse could do a better deal and hopefully get it to me next day. I pay £119 for phone, £35 per month first 9 then downgrade to £30 per month. Tescos is def cheaper if you ca afford initail outlay but think this deal o for longer term. I dont plan changing phone for while anyway! :D

i tried all day yesterday and tesco's were engaged every time. Ended up getting one from o2. Has anyone tried going to a tesco mobile store ?

P.s. Sorry to burst anyones bubble however have to say i'm not convinced the iphone 4 is that much better (in reality) than the 3gs with ios4 software on it. The camera is a bit better, the display is a little better, etc ... Its nice but not a quantum leap. Great piece of engineering though.

have the same feeling, now i dont know whther i can be bothered to hunt for a 4g deal???

Just taken iPhone 4 back to O2 due to signal problems. They asked if I was left or right handed to which I laughed !! They then said it needs to be replaced but didn't have any so was sent to the Apple store (fortunately its nearby). Still a large queue at Apple to get new phones so they couldn't do a warranty exchange until Weds as I needed a Genius Bar Appointment. Unreal !!

Felt like a rubber ball (LOL) so back to the O2 store and cancelled the contract, using the trusted 3GS and saving a fortune.

i would say there is a problem with recentpion i'll have to try mine out in dfiferent palces as sometimes when i have my hand at the bottom its at full bars so i dont know if i have problem or not there is a fix you have to pay 25 to buy an apple bumper you can get it in their stores that supposed to work

so far i am happy with my phone i'll see what its like in next few days

  • Looks like 02 have cut their data allowance for all iPhone plans. No longer unlimited data, it's respective of how much you pay per month.
This makes 3 top the table for VFM. I cant post links but the info is on the 3 website.
With the Internet Texter 900 you get:

    • 900 minutes (anytime, any network)
    • 5000 texts
    • 1GB internet
    • 5000 Three-to-Three minutes
    • Voicemail
    Plus a free 32gb 3gs in white.
    Bargain I say.

Intgeresting to see what the net effect of I phone 4 will be with O2, I have a £35 per month contract which has now out of tie and also have home broadband also out of tie.

I called and asked what deals I could get to renew contract on I phone 4 , given any loyalty bonus, that I had the home broadband and would be happy to also take out their home telephone service on the most expensive plan.

No deal offered, I accept tht I'd have to pay for the phone but thought would receive a discount on the calling plan but nothing. Hene I 've ordered my PAC code and will now be in the market for a new telecoms provider (mobile, Broadband & home).

Hence interesting to see if O2 loose net customers given that there are much better deals than to go with 02 out there.

They have certainly lost my custom

At 4pm Saturday 27th June. Apparently all stores out of phones with only a tiny supply sent to each and none due now until the end of July. Most unlikely that any are left. Been trying their website since yesterday. Got through on the phone twice, the route to order on contract, and their system had crashed and supposed to be up at 10am today.Told earlier they still had stock. Finally just got through and no stock on line and suggested I register interest and they will let me know when in stock (if that's like the Sony HX5 camera I wanted from them earlier in the year, it's sometime never!)

I have registered interest on the website as they instructed- their normal tesco direct site- but it looks like it is to register for payg. For contract it tells you to ring them. Perpetual motion.

I guess the truth is everyone in the world wants one so it's going to be a long wait. Still when iphone 5 comes out in June 2011, it'll be dead easy to get an iphone 4 then, and maybe the iphone 5 will fix the emerging aerial issue- I am left handed!

LOL what a palava for a over hyped mobile, HTC are so much better & you get 2 flavours...Windows Mobile & Android, I used to think Andvoid was way off a few years ago but I am now starting to warm to the operating system as its come on leaps and bounds more than i-pohne development...Windows Phone 7 looks great, and yes I am a 3GS owner who uses my HTC Touch 3G, my 3GS is a glorified text send machine & a wifi browser at home, a bloody expensive one at that.
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
    If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:
    :D
