Any other decent successes calling o2 retentions?0

Just had a look at the newly released 3 contracts. I am interested only in SIM only, and 3 are offering 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 2000 3-to-3 minutes, and 1GB internet for £15 on a 30 day rolling contract. As expected, this is by far better than all the other networks. However, I am not too keen on joining 3. Is there any scope of convincing Orange or O2 to offer me a contract to match that of 3?0

Very worried about store stock allocation went into phones for u to reserve one £5 desposit to be told there was 15 infront of me and all stock had been allocated. If all stores are like this we have no hope less you have one reserved with apple or on o2!!!
I can't imagine that black ones will be that hard to get hold of at all - once pent-up demand is filled (by the weekend?) sales will be quite slow.0 -
Ok so i think i'm going for the 12 month Tesco contract 35 a month and 299 upfront for 32gb. Total cost is 719 over a year i think. Its probably the cheapest for me. I do not want an 18 month contract as i'll not be in the UK for even a year!
My question is. Cashback for Tesco mobile? any exist?0 -
5.5 hours queuing at O2 in Bluewater, Kent, what a total nightmare. Both Phones 4 U and Carphone Warehouse in Bluewater had stock and NO QUEUES !!!
Also went around to the Apple store and they were selling new iPhones without a reservation. Suspect they have more stock than they're letting on.
Happy hunting ....
p.s. think Tesco's are offering the best deal however their phone line was always engaged today.0 -
If you managed to get one today have you got loss of signal problems like has been reported??0

I've pre-ordered the iPhone 4 with Orange - expecting it delivered tomorrow. I paid £119 up front and then £35 per month for a 24 month contract. Though I'm now wishing I'd researched more beforehand as the Tesco are offering £229 up front which is more but then £35 for 12 months. Seems like a much better deal and I've still got time to change my mind so . . .
I know Orange have good coverage and are generally helpful and reliable - from my experience anyway. I was wondering if anyone had any info on Tesco - coverage etc? I'm sure I read in a post they use the o2 network is that right? Does anyone have an iPhone already with them? Thanks in advance!0 -
My officially unlocked 3GS is sometimes used with o2, I find them to be the worst with 3G but in fairness the 2G network is as robust as hell...2G with EDGE is quick, check your local haunts on o2 coverage maps....

Never use T-Mob for 2G though !If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0
