I'm with O2 at the moment and am coming to the end of an 18-month, £20pm contract which gave me 600min, 2000texts and unlimited BlackBerry bolt-on (got a free Blackberry 9000 with it)...
Anyone know what my chances are of staying on the same contract but O2 giving me a refurb iPhone (any at all would do tbh!)0 -

i think i will wait a few weeks as the 4th generation is coming out which means the 3gs might be a better deal then........
thanks for replies

Hello all - a newbie here. I've made the decision that I'm going to get an iPhone when my contract runs out with VF in August. I can upgrade in June, however I want to wait to see when the new iPhone is coming out so as to get the newest version or at least a better deal on the 3gs. I have had some fairly major issues with VF over the last 18 months however with their billing being totally wrong (£545 was what I was going to be charged one month - was eventually reduced to £12.50!) and I'm not sure I want to stay with them.
2 Questions therefore:
1) In other people's expereince is the "you've screwed me around so I'm going elsewhere" line going to assist at all in getting a better deal at upgrade time? Is it worth pointing out all the problems I've had?
2) what deals have people been able to get in upgrading with VF?
I know from reading the forum to phone cancellations line as opposed to upgrades - and if need be I'll go elsewhere but wanted to see what deals might be possible in staying with VF.
Thanks

None that I've seen. If there are, you would probably be looking at £60+/month, as the cost of your laptop is just added to the contract.0
