Was offered today: Reboxed 3GS 16GB from O2 : £33, 18 months, free handset, 500 mins, unlimited SMS and data.
If the 4G is announced on 7th June then I'm just wondering how long it might be before it's available and whether the 3GS is likely to go down in price enough to make it a better deal than what I've been offered already. Does anybody have a view on this?
I've heard that reboxed means that it doesn't come in the original box too - a generic brown box instead...?0 -

Will there be better deals when the G4 is on sale?0

2) what deals have people been able to get in upgrading with VF?
I've just got my PAC code. In the exit converstation I said I was after the new iPhone, I knew I'll be hard pushed to get one but thought I'd ask.
I now have my PAC as VF had nothing decent on deals, and were not moving they just said they are limited by Google on the Nexus one and Apple on the iPhone as to what they can offer. I'm not a big spender, I'm on a £30 a month contract, and knew I'd have to probably pay the same or more for an iPhone.
The clincher for me was they were adamant that Vodafone would not get it until September, and on past history I know that probably means retentions have no idea. When I asked about the Nexus one the week before they released it I was told they would never stock it and I'd have to buy it from Google directly.
Just bideing my time till the Apple announcment and then will order from o2.0 -

My vf contract runs out in about 6 weeks. If i bought a iphone 4g payg on tesco mobile and use it straight away would i still be able to port my vf number to tesco mobile?
The reason i want to do this is that i don't use much credit. I mainly use the phone for receiving calls and e-mail/internet. I figure that if i buy a new iphone every 12 months i should be able to sell it for over £300 each year as it will be factory unlocked.
If i buy the phone for £450 + roughly £80-100 per year then sell it for over £300 then it should work out about £18-19 per month.0 -

I'm waiting for the new 4Gs as well, my contract with VF was over last month and when I spoke to retensions and asked for an iphone, they pretty much offerd me the exact same deals that are on their website.
And they suggested me to go sim only and offerd me a deal which wasn't bad 700min unltd net, unltd landline and 250 txt for £17 on a 12months sim only contract. But I wasn't really keen on that idea primarily coz there's a strong rumor that iphone 4g will be coming with a micro sim so obviously I'll have to get my sim changed and may be they won't even offer me that.
and the biggest issue is with the bundled wifi deals that iphone are usually shipping with, I will defenitely miss that and I'm not very keen on spending £400 plus upfront for a phone.
So for those reasons I said no and took my pac code and now waiting for June 7th announcement and will defenitely gonna get my phone on O2 and what I have learnt from this forum is that O2 let you downgrade the package 9 months down the line and thats sounds like a good option to have compare to VF wherein you'll pretty much stuck with your original tariff for almost the entire contract term.0
