Can anyone please advise on the cheapest way to get hold of an un-used PAYG 16gb iPhone 3GS?
I'm currently on a fantastic pay-monthly SIM deal that i can't get anywhere else (that includes web) and don't want to give it up to start a new contract.
Thanks
I take it they are not that easy (or cheap) to unlock... so you will need to get one for the same network.

Tesco £440 but prices should fall come June when the new handset is released. Apple set the prices so you won't find a bargain without taking a risk on eBay or similar.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Update on o2 Retentions and possibilities of Iphone 3GS Refurbs. I have just spoken to Annette who was incredibly helpful.
She didn't say anything about the Iphone Refurbs not being available to customers through retentions anymore, but advised to keep calling back regularly to see if there's any in stock. But she admitted herself that it's been several weeks since they've had any, so they may be due some soon. She even checked to see if they had a delivery date on the system, but there was nothing (but said sometimes they receive no notice or if any, 24 hours). I asked if there was a particular day in the week they receive deliveries, but she said they could receive multiple deliveries per week on any day!
Hope that's helpful to someone, I guess we're just going to have to keep trying!

I called Tesco mobile yesterday about there £15 a month rolling contact sim only deal and asked if it would work in my 3GS. The guy said that their sim only cards are designed for 2G phones, and therefore I wouldn't get the full speed. Can anyone confirm this?0

the tesco iphone contract certainly is 3G0

all contracts have a cooling of period usually 2 weeks where you can returned the phone regardless if its been usedAre you sure?? Distance selling regs allow seven days for net and phone purchases, no requirement with an in store purchase AFAIK: I was therefore surprised (and pleased) at what I was told in Tesco.
You are correct and emweaver is wrong, DSR is 7 working days for net/phone orders, there is no legal right to return for shop bought.====0 -

I myself have returned one after 2 weeks so infact you are wrong. Can't beat experienceWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
The iphone page really needs updating as there is only one mention of vodafone. As a major player in the iphone market it really needs to be incorporated in the report.0
