Louisa,
You need to make sure you are speaking to Retentions not Upgrades. You don't even need to threaten to leave, just say that you've heard you can get better deals with a refurbished phone is this true - that's all I did.
Obviously they've got to be in stock though0 -
Have been trying since Fri to get one of these refurbished iphones. They can still offer you a deal on one of these even if they are not in stock. I asked for the 32GB 3GS and the best the guy in retentions offered me was;
iPhone 32GB 3GS for £160
600 mins
Unlimited texts
Unlimited web
£35 per month on an 18 month contract
I told him that my mates have got brilliant deals on these and that ive read up on other people getting deals. Also the fact that Vodafone were offering unlimited texts.
He stated that his 'system' will only allow so much dependent on the account holder.
Does anybody actually know when these are coming in??
Im currently getting 30% off anyway due to knowing someone on a staff tariff. But this person has left so as soon as i upgrade I will lose this discount. Hence me trying to get the best possible deal on the iPhone.

What is the number to go through to retentions for 02??? it wasn't them i spoke too...so will try them- i just think it sounds to easy to just say ur leaving and then get offered a great deal!? hmmm just wish i didn't have to wait another 3 weeks!
Do I Phone normal upgrade ppl then ask to get put through to retentions?
Oh and i'm really looking for a free iphone for £30 a month and unlimited texts too-is it hard to get the unlimited texts? As vodafone are offering unlimited texts. Considering i use around 900 texts a month i really need that!0 -
Dial 202 from your O2 phone. Then options 2 and 2 I think.....
Of course say that you want to leave and then see what they say/offer you. They do not want to lose customers and have been briefed to offer deals where they can.

Hello
Anybody think theres anything better than an I-phone?
Wondering what else I can consider. Though I am hoping O2 give me a good deal, if they dont I am leaving them, had so much trouble with them over the years.
Thanks
