Yer simonly, only tied into it for a month. 30 day notice etc. So no cancelation costs plus the guy in the O2 store gave me a number to ring for unlocking the phone straight away, anyway.
I wont use the O2 sim in America, going to get my number put on retension or PAYG for the 12 months and get a US sim or probs get a second hand BB Bold9700 so can BBM my friends in the UK and just use the iPhone as an expensive iPod.0 -
still no refurbs in stock ! just off the phone with o2. :mad:0

I've been trying for the past week and not had any luck I'm just going to keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone manages to get hold of a refurbed model.
Incidentally, didn't someone get discounted insurance when signing up to a refurbed model? I've priced up the normal insurance in Phones4U and they want £11.99 per month! I know there are online independent insurers but most of the ones I found exlcuded loss.Apparently I am the original tight fisted Yorkshire Man!!0 -

They get the refurbs from Apple, so they don't know when they are coming in, or how many they are getting until a big truck pulls up I would imagine. Then they are entered on the system.
I hope they come in this week cos I'm off work and want to have a bit play !!:j0 -
Unfortunately I don't think it's a big truck. The guy I spoke to said they might get 5 in, so you have to be fast or you'll lose out.
been waiting on a refurb for weeks now.
are the deals that different from getting a new iphone 3gs ? whats the best deal from o2 for a 3GS ? are they free on £30 pm ?0 -
I got one this morning but only a 16Gb 3G not a 3GS. 18 month deal on the £35 a month tariff but reduced to £30 for me. Handset was free.
I was a bit unsure about whether it was worth going for the 3G but it seems like it's pretty hard to get the 3GS refurb at the moment. I'll see how it runs and there's always the 14 day cooling off period if I think it's too slow!0 -

I rang o2 yesterday evening about 6ish and got a 16gb 3g (unsealed box not refurb but had refurbs in stock) for free on £29 tariff for 18months. This included
600 mins
500 texts
unlimited internet, emails and wi-fi
Bluetooth headset (£20)
This was a good deal for me and has made my tariff £6 cheaper saving over £100 for the 18months.
I also got a 14 day cooling off period, can change to 3gs for £45 a month for 24months.0 -
