I just went with the 8gb as well, there's obviously a pile of folk waiting to pounce on the 16gb and as long as it is 3g there doesn't seem to be too much missing.glentoran99 wrote: »I got fed up being told to call back the next day, and they still werent in stock after 4 yesterday, so I went for the 8gb 3g instead, wont make a great deal of difference to me as ive never had the 3gs so i wont know any difference in speed, £25 18 month 600 mins 500 texts, with free phone so im happy enough,
I wonder though if I kept trying and if there is a 16gb one in stock just cancel the 8gb one within the 14 day period and then get the 14gb one?0 -

Cheeky
I received the iphone today, whoopee I thought
Turns out they've tried to pull one over, sent me the 3G instead of the 3GS.
On hold now trying to sort out this mess.0 -
I only got the same as you for 28 per month. I used your 25 as a bargaining tool, but I'm actually still 12 months into a previous 18 month contract (with the 1st 10 months free) so I'm not meant to be able to switch but a glitch in the original phone call meant they offered me the deal and were prepared to honour it, so couldn't really bargain an awful lot more.glentoran99 wrote: »was thinking the same myself but then I couldnt be bothered im happy enough with my deal, could maybe have got better as i didnt push, what deal did you get
I'm still quite chuffed with the deal, and now waiting until Monday to get the phone.:j0 -
Gutted! I imagine you can send it back still as it's within the cooling off period but obviously you can't get a 3gS if they are telling everyone they are out of stock.Cheeky

Yeah, just finished on phone with them quite a long call.
I have to return the phone then once they receive it I can call again and they will send out the 3GS but she said they were out of stock so either I'll get lucky and get one when they come in or I'll be ringing everyday for who knows how long.
Will let you know how it goes (fingers crossed)0 -

Well I've just spoken to a lovely scouse guy called Mark at O2 upgradings.
He's offered me a refurb 16gb 3GS iphone on the following
£39.99 for the phone
600 mins
500 txts
unlimited internet bolt on
unlimited txt bolt on
unlimited wi-fi bolt on (never heard of these before mind !)
18 month contract
£30 per month.
Well happy with that.
They've got no refurbs in at the mo, but he's gonna call me as soon as they come in.

Sounds like a good deal. I think the wi-fi bolt on allows you to use the phone in the Cloud or in certain wi-fi hotspots, rather than paying a fiver an hour or whatever the charges are at that point, but you can still use your own wi-fi or any open network etc without that. If you might in some of the hotspot areas it's probably useful.cronemeister wrote: »Well I've just spoken to a lovely scouse guy called Mark at O2 upgradings.
