I tried the O2 retentions dept but they offered me nothing, no refurbished ons available it would seem. So I thought that I'd try Tesco but neither of my local ones had iphones. Does anyone know which ones actually sell these things? Is it just available in London?
Thanks

Has anyone had any luck at all with Orange. I'm really cross as all they keep offering me are the same deals that they would give someone who hasn't just spent £40 a month with them for 18 months!
I've also got a contract with O2, which is in my name but is my partners phone, does anyone think it's worth trying to get them to add my phone to this account and get an iphone like that?Wins 2009:Total : £2500 :jFirst they came for the crack users; but I said nothing. I was not a crack user. Then they came for the heroin users. But I said nothing - I was not a heroin user. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me. (after Pastor Niemoller)0 -

Try calling back midweek, as that's what I was advised. They normally get shipments tomorrow or Tuesday, and they won't appear on their systems until Tuesday evening/Wednesday. Just don't get one before me :rotfl:2021

i had an iphone on contract which broke last year and was not repariable i was lucky in that i was within 3 weeks of my 1 year warranty /guarantee so i paid 130 for a refurb which the microphone is now broke in it and people cant hear me talking
cos its a refurb you dont get a full warranty on 3 month maybe less im not sure only that mine is no good anymore unless i want to speak to people using a handfree kit
lucky i am in my last month of my contract so going to cancle and leave o2 and just shove a sim in the phone and use it as a pay as you go using the handfree0 -

Strange, the woman I spoke to at O2 today, said that with O2 refurbs, you still get a 1 year guarantee with them. Interesting if she's telling porkies!2021

well i would def double check and get it in writing if they promise you that
i had my iphone it got damaged last year ( water damage ) so they said i could have a refurb and i paid 130 or 120 cant remember now anyway the new ones microphone is not working on the refurb i took it into apple yesterday and they said i could get another refurb for iphone for 120/130 but i refused
I think ( but may be wrong here) that if the phone can be repaired or it it a fault with the phone they will replace it at no cost to you if its under the one year warranty on an orginal iphone eitther on a contract or on a payg, but if its a refurb then you get 3 month warranty
either way i was going to have to pay again for a phone that i bought only 5 months ago and they cant fix
so if you want an iphone but it has to be used only with a headset then let me know its going cheapGingerWarrior wrote: »Strange, the woman I spoke to at O2 today, said that with O2 refurbs, you still get a 1 year guarantee with them. Interesting if she's telling porkies!0 -

was speaking in a 3 store today with manager he was telling me that 3 are currently testing the i phone on there network and will be released shortly next month or so.
so those looking for better deal could be worth mentioning with 02 as they say a twisting of arms.
Unlikely.
There was a lot of hope put on Orange, Tesco and Vodafone that when they released it the prices would fall. They haven't. all the compnaies have more or less the same prices over the 18 month time period if you pro rata it up / down .
Apple apparantly set the prices and will not allow discounting, if 3 get the phone it's more to stop people defecting than anything else. I'd love to be proven wrong but I suspect the deals will be the same.
Remember at the moment it's selling so well no-one needs to discount the phont to get it to sell.0
