Hi MClarke,
That is a cracking deal! A new 3GS and for £31 p/m! Was that the 1st call to O2 you made? Did you have to negotiate for long to get that deal?
Hi, it was my first call. I went straight to retentions and spoke to a really nice girl. I've been with o2 for a good few years now so that probably had an influence. She offered it me straight away, I tried for a little more but it was a no go. Understandable considering the offer.0 -

That's great - I hope I get the same girl tomorrow when I call! Would bite their hand off if they offered me that deal - what were you currently paying per month before you upgraded?Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34
Mortgage starting balance at Sept 09 - £127,224 on 30 year term. Currently balance approx £116,945 (Updated Jan '12)
Estimated MFD - [STRIKE]Sept 2039[/STRIKE], April 2031 (in progress!)0 -
Was only paying £20 on a simplicity deal. She offered me a free 32 gig but £35 per month. I don't really need 32 gig so saved the £72 over the life of the contract. I think my wife will be calling up asking for this too!0

That is a fantastic deal, makes me want to switch to o2. I won't win out as a new customer but long term they seem more inclined to keep their customers than Vodaphone.0 -
Has anyone managed to blag a free upgrade on orange on a £35 a month contract?:beer:0

OH ordered a new Iphone, but an error on the phone companies behalf they have sent her 2 iphones.
if they do not contact her regarding the matter is it wrong to keep the second iphone.
I was planning on getting one myself if we keep it, what would be the best PAYG or sim only to go for. i would prefer vodaphone due to network coverage2010 wins: River Shoes :j, McCains Chips, toy dog
Dec Wins: Canvas art
Nov wins: Tickets to Wales v Argentina Rugby. 2x Delia Cookbook, 1 x Robbie williams download0 -

I was offered this deal from O2 retentions:
Reboxed iphone 3gs 16GB for £10
18 month contract
£31 per month
600 minutes, 500 texts
Unlimited data and wifi
The person I spoke to in retentions said this deal may not be available the next time I call, so I took it there and then!
Seems OK to me?
Just to follow this up - the phone arrived today and it is in mint condition - well chuffed :j0 -
My phone arrived today. In perfect condition and is now up and running!!
I double checked my online account and they have kept the 1000 free texts a month and the £10 a month discount, so my deal was:
£65 for a refurb 16g 3gs
600 minutes and 1500 texts for £25 a month.
I am very very happy!0 -
You got a good deal on those refurbs/retentions. I called them as an existing o2 cust to get a second phone on my account. They offered a new Iphone 3gs and pushed the 24 month contract which was £45/month/1200mins/500txts/free 16gb/£99 32gb. The £35/month deal was same but only 600mins.
The 18month contracts were same deals but you paid about another £100 for each phone. The guy did say you could drop the tariff after 9 months with no penalty. So, Im still looking around!0
