What colour did you get? How did you get the £6 off?

    Hi,

I've been looking through this thread with interest. I'm not going to be in the UK for the next 12 months I don't think, so I can't really look at a contract.

For that reason, I've been looking at PAYG on the o2 simplicity tariff.

I can get (I think!) 700 mins and 1400 txts for £20/month, together with the 'Unlimited web' bolt on.

Can anyone confirm that the unlimited web bolt on is suitable for the iphone, and will provide me with the same as the 'unlimited data' bolt on that you get with the iphone? I appreciate I don't get the unlimited wifi bolt on, but don't really think I'll need this.

The o2 'Unlock your iphone' page says if you unlock your iphone you will lose the free web and wifi bolt on that was added. But you can buy it for £10/month after unlocking. This would lead me to believe the Simplicity bolt on is suitable - or am I incorrect?

    Thanks in advance

    Al

I'm going to wait on the next iphone to see what its like before comitting to anything.
I'm tempted to do the same, in the hope that Apple will improve the camera on the next generation of iPhone.

I have a Nokia N95 and, whilst in all other ways the iPhone is better, I use the camera a lot when I'm out and about with the kids and it is an awful lot better than the iPhone on that front.

Just get a black cover. I wanted white but could only have black, I needed a cover anyway so just got a hard white Apple cover.

Can't really tell the difference. Get a screen protector too!!!

Next month I'm able to upgrade my orange phone contract (6 months early, on an 18mth contract). Have a SE atm and am paying £25/mth on Dolphin 30 ( 400mins + unlim txts). Would like an iphone. How do you think I'll get on asking orange? Have been with them for many years together with my 2 sisters and mum ( one account - so it mounts up!!) Not sure if the local orange store can match some of the offers I'm reading here.
    Any help, gratefully received!

I upgraded on Monday evening online and went for the refurb black 16MB 3S on an 18 month contract at £35 a month. It arrived yesterday and looks absolutely brand new. It came with all the accessories too - just not in an Apple box.

Really pleased I went for the refurb now - I did some checking first & after reading on here that people had been happy I went for it. Shorter & cheaper contract than a new one so I'm really pleased. Plus once I've had the phone a few weeks I'll sell my old one back to O2. They're offer is rather good :)

Sorted, on the phone at 8am this morning, 16gb 3GS in white for free. Went for the lower tariff of £30, 75 minutes 500 text and unlimited internet.

Asked about a 32gb version and was quoted £50.

    Thanks for all the advice.
