Next month I'm able to upgrade my orange phone contract (6 months early, on an 18mth contract). Have a SE atm and am paying £25/mth on Dolphin 30 ( 400mins + unlim txts). Would like an iphone. How do you think I'll get on asking orange? Have been with them for many years together with my 2 sisters and mum ( one account - so it mounts up!!) Not sure if the local orange store can match some of the offers I'm reading here.
    Any help, gratefully received!

My Orange contract expired last December, so I contacted Orange retentions today, said I was thinking of going to Vodaphone for iPhone but could Orange improve their offer? Answer was "we're not allowed to offer anything on the iPhone". And no matter what I said, didn't budge a mm. He then offered me a stonking deal on a different phone. Thought about it all day, put on my MSE hat and decided it was too good to miss, so shelved my iPhone desire for 18 months and signed up tonight.

Based on my experience, don't expect anything other than standard on the current Orange iPhone tariffs (but try anyway ;)).

Wow, what deal did you get and what phone, am looking to upgrade, but can hold off on Iphone, just want a great deal and decent phone.
  • HI, just wanted to post that i was due my iPhone on Monday, however due to the fact they had put my adress as B, London and the postcode!!! They couldn't deliver and I had to ring them to ask where it was then was told they messed up my adress, couldn't they have called me to check? Lol. Anyway the delivery man had the sense to call and check, it arrived on Tuesday morning. It's refurbished but good as new, not a mark on it! In fact I'm using it to post this message now :) enjoy your iPhone everyone x

A little bit of advice appreciated...I left 02 3 weeks ago and bought an iphone on the Tesco £20/month plan. No issues really other than the plan isn't sufficient for my needs. The only other option if I stay with Tesco is a £60/month plan over 24 months giving unlimited txt/talk/web but this is way ott for me.

So to my question. As I'm no longer with 02 do I stand any chance of getting a better than advertised deal? Similar applies to Vodafone which probably fits my use needs better for the cost. I've rang them both (vodafone and o2), to discuss a deal but both just quote standard prices. Has anyone had any luck negotiating? Orange reception at home is rubbish so they aren't an option.

    Thanks.

Wow, that sucks. I have been looking forward to my 18 month contract getting close to expiring so I can haggle an iPhone off Orange, seeing as it was so easy to get a brand new C902 when they had just come out last time...

What handset did they offer you? Was the retail value anywhere near to an iPhone?

Anyone have a iphone contract with Tesco, not looking for the unlimited offer but just wondering what sort of offers are around for the iphone 3gs (32gb or even 16gb) with Tesco.

    - Also, I think there is also a T-Mobile PAYG sim giving free texts and web for £10 top up a month.
